I want to apply for Quebec and got the preliminary assessment done from the quebec official website and also through David Cohen, and they said that it is possible to get CSQ.

Can please some senior help me with understanding the point system for quebec.

Below are my particulars please advice.


Principal applicant:-

Age:- 30 years
Qualifcation:- BSC computers Sciences 2003 pakistan
Experience in the relating field:- 8 years
English:- Working Convent School as Computer Head of Department
French:- Zero (Have already enrolled in Alliance French)


Spouse:-
Age:- 30 yrs
Qualification:- BSC + MSC computer Science
Experience:- Teaching in School
English:- Excellent( IELTS 6 band)
French:- No

Children:- 2

3-years
1-1/2 years

Funds:- Enough

No family in Quebec
No visits in quebec
No job offer in quebec

Can someone please help me with the point system. and the step by step process with a checklist of all the documents.

Hello Akuma and good luck in your process.The points for ur file will be as below:

Niveau de scolarite : 10
Experience : 8
age : 16
French: here i strongly advise u to reach the niveau A2 which will give u 6 points, is the minimum u need for ur french in ur case
English : 4 points
For ur wife niveau scolarite : 3
Age : 3
French : 2 ( for the A1 or A2 level is the same for her, only 2 points)
Till now guys u get 52 points and the minimum to pass further is 50.So do not forget ur french level is very important.Ur wife does not get points for english.
Further for 2 kids u get : 8 points
Funds: 1 point
Now u have 61 points and the required points are 57.
Now in order to obtain the CSQ must pass the intrview couse u need more 2 points to reach the 63.In the interview they can accord u up to 6 points for adaptability.U need only 2.So I am sure u can do it! Have faith and learn french !!

Hi, Today I have found under processinng times website for quebec that currently no interviews are being held for India.
Any idea of reasons for same and expected time for re opening. Till now it was shown that till June 2010 applicants interviews are being held for India.

Hello Quebec, i hope he get the points for area of training, but i never look at it as i don't know how they calculate it, u know it has some rules: diploma to be obtained in the last year or to have experience in his domain in the last 5 years...i a not sure for his wife...but i prefer to not take them into consideration, let the guys from embassy give them the points, so he can be sure 100% of his file..
He has good points anyways...and i want him to improve his french

Ricoluna u r write he is not getting any point for his area of training because he is doing teaching job which is 0 point for area of training and secondly B.Sc from Pakistan also score 6 point not 10 points.

@solokru: i sent it through fax, cuz it takes 5-6 days through any courier service (from my country). well, if you cant find fax anywhere, then FedEx is the best option for you.

@ still hope am i ryt with thé following information ? With regards to thé point systèm in diploma which is more reliable? The link per Country in guide de immigration or the point systèm in canada visa they both give différent points for masters dégrée in phils.. thanks
