waffle said:Hi everyone (especially solokru and angeleye, egrace, all the CSQ wiz here )
I really need your advise.
I've been visiting this forum for some time now. I am in the same situation above [just found out this morning :-( ] I was just wondering what you guys did or submitted for the appeal or can suggest to me?
I have a Bachelors in Physiotherapy(5 years Univ.), graduated 1999, had 2 years experience in this field (before 2005) another 1 year experience (after 2005), then the rest of my experiences are on business and online freelance work. Hubby has a Bachelor in Nursing, graduated 1998, had 2 years experience in this field (before 2005), then the rest are on sales and marketing. We've both been attending a French class for a month now (not alliance though, cause they only have offices in the Capital city.), we had to transfer our residence to another City near us where the only French class was available - talk about sacrifices.)
Applied Oct. 2010, AOR received 2 weeks after. Submitted all notarized copies of everything including my business permits. Sent them a copy of our enrollment receipt for the French class, IDs with the instructor's name. We've even bought French audio books to supplement our beginners knowledge.
Like Solokru and Angeleye, I'm really confused with the computation.
I've found my hubby's old IELTS score, I know I'm need to send that with my appeal, but what else? - can't really think straight here. We didn't get any points for our trainings?

thanks guys.
any reply is appreciated.
@ Waffle, sorry for the situation that u have here. I think REALLy has helped u understand Y u were not scored on some factors. hhere are some suggestions that u might want to consider as u prepare ur appeal.
1) According to page 22 of Guide des procedures d'immigration which is the official processing manual for BIQs, points two clearly states that if an applicants training is older than 5years as at the time of filing an application, then the applicant must have at least one-year fulltime employment within the last five years preceding the application. since u stated that u had worked for a year after 2005 ( i.e 2006 i suppose) then, there might b a window for u there to get ur AOT recognised.so u will need to provide adequate documentation for this job which u did after 2005, then u can also print-out the page-22 from this processing guide, mark-out the point which suppots ur claim with a transparent marker and attach thses two to a cover letter where u will explain the point u are trying to pass accross.
2) the letter u were sent, is it actually a rejection letter? or is it just a letter of rejection notice.if it is rejection letter without they first sending u a letter of intention to rejection, u can use this to appeal to them for an extension of time so that u can have more time to study ur french and also take an exam. this extention letter must accompany ur response within d 60days. u will need at least A2/B1 yl ur dependant A1 but if capable of A2 too it will b better.the higher the french level u take, the better.but if u had been sent an intention to reject letter earlier, then u will have to justified grounds to ask for extension.
3) dependants are not usually assessed on thier eglish langiuage skills hence the Toefl is of no effect.
4) u can also include in ur letter, a write-up about ur interest in Quebec as well as all u have done i.e the sacrifices u av made just to make sure ur dream comes true.
