Guys, do you know how long it takes from the date I did my medicals until the VO receives the results?

On the letter it said up to 8 weeks however I think it might be shorter than that... any input highly appreciated here.

2) extension after recieving letter of rejection notice - how much more time I can ask? one can only qualify to ask for extension if and only if such an applicant was not sent an intention to reject letter.that is when such claims can be genuine, otherwise it is not
4) tell us more about what letter about interest in Quebec should contain and how will it help with the process? it is just a letter that MAY appease the reviewing officer to b merciful based on who far one had gone to see the quebec dream come true. there ios no specific format. but if i were in those shoes, i will sure include such letter

Guys, do you know how long it takes from the date I did my medicals until the VO receives the results? Hi Wings- I think this depends on the distance btw your VO and your country. A friend of mine made the medical check and the doctor told him that the result would reach the VO within 3-5 DAYS( Tirane-Albania and ROME-Italy are just one hour flight away)so this may effect.

On the letter it said up to 8 weeks however I think it might be shorter than that... any input highly appreciated here. I definitely think that it is much more shorter but anyway what u can do is ask the doctor where you have done the medicals to give you some info about when will he post them to the VO and if he/she can give you the track no. so you can follow the posting.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to report that I had my interview at the Sao Paulo visa office and I got accepted! I got my CSQ and already hand-delivered my federal process papers to the Consulate. They told me processing will take about a year.

The interview was tense, mainly because I was nervous and tired and he was curteous and polite, but quite serious as well. 90% of it was checking docs: id, passport, jobs...he basically went through the list of what I wrote in my application and checked for proof of everything I had claimed. Then he asked me about my job search, looked at a couple of potential job ads I got off the internet, typed stuff into his computer (he did that for most of the interview), and gave me tips on how to perfect my CV (which had been translated into French). He also asked me why I wanted to go to Quebec. The whole interview was in French. The hard part was calming my nerves - I have high intermediate to advanced French but I was so nervous during the whole time I know I fumbled half the words and forgot the other half!


It ended well but it was certainly stressful and I'm glad it's overwith! The interview took 50 minutes in total. Good luck to everyone still waiting for the CSQ - it's crazy that one piece of paper has so much power!

I am new to this forum and just want to check if i am eligible to apply for Quebec skilled worker program.
Here are my details,

1. Masters in Computer Science (completed Dec. 2008 in USA), Bachelors in Computer Engineering (2003)
2. Working as a System Engineer (Software) since March 2009
3. Age : 31
4. Married
5. Spouse's Education: Bachelors in Business Studies (3 years)
6. Spouse's Work Experience : 3 Years but not in the same field as her degree
7. Spouse's age : 26


We don't have children and we do not have French language proficiency.
I have been in the united states since august 2006. Do i have to give IELTS for English language proficiency?

I would appreciate if anyone can help.

You've already got a reply in regard your points.
I just wanted to add that your domain (nursing) is well in demand, so you could get through the process fast.

1. how long is the CSQ application? will there be an interview?
- It may vary from one case to another. Anyways, HK office processing time is really short.
Normally you'll need to pass an interview, to check your French & your ability to adapt life there (something you got to prepare for).

2. shall i send police clearance together with the application?

- No, you don't have to send it with your initial application for CSQ.
Later on, in the federal process stage you'll have to submit one along your PR visa application.

3. is bank certificate enough as a proof of funds?
- Well, yes. It's just o prove the sum of funds you'll mention in one of the forms.

4. as a holder of A1(basic) what should i tick in the application form...
- Set your level as "basic" (1-4)

for the federal since they have CAP limits... do u think CSQ applicants will be affected with this limits in applying for PR? coz this will surely cause a delay in my application.. though HK VO might be fast a process.. would the federal acknowledge prioritization from BIQ's Preferred AOT??
