Hello all,

Here is a detailed brief of how the interview went.
We got to the embassy about 30 minutes before the time and we were called in 10 minutes before and we were interviewed by a man. He was polite and helpful ensuring we were not in anyway tensed. he greeted us in French and we responded after which he gave us some background information on the outcome of the interview telling us in case we were not successful that we have the right to as for a review and so on and so forth (all in French). He then started, asked for my wife's original degree certificates (in French) he checked it with the copies we sent with our application taking note of all the details in the application form as well. He later asked for her work related documents which he checked and made some comments which we promptly explained. Then he came to the point of testing our French and this was actually the most difficult part as our French is next to zero we made some efforts and he was done with my wife. all this while he was busy consulting some documents probably to ascertain the appropriate points to award. It then came to my turn and all he was concerned with was my academic credentials and my French. at this point I knew we would be accepted as I kept spying at the points he was making on his workbook before entering it into the system. Finally he said You Have been accepted and this is largely because of the Priority of my wife's course and the extra point our baby gave us. All in all it was an experience and we were grateful to God and all the help from this forum. All in all the interview lasted almost an hour and he then printed two copies of the Certificate for us explaining some details and pointing out the Priority treatment Comment on the certificate. He further said the certificate is valid for 3 years. He gave us the preparing for Quebec guide and bid us all the best in our Federal application.

Hi All,

Please help me out here, what can i do for the Job/Work Experience?
My spouse stay in the UK for 2.5year and worked for few recruitment agency (different times) and she left UK in 2009 and back home. And i cannot get the job certificate to proof this.

What do you guys suggest i can do to proof again, is payslip enough?

Why can she not get a letter at least from one of her ex employers if you don't me asking FIIRM?

Anyway if she can dig up one of her old employment contracts from her old documents and add some playslips i would like to think that will be fine, as i think the caseworker are interested in knowing your employment terms e.g part time/full time, your position, contracted hrs etc and how long you worked for [i.e how much experience] not sure what others think though.

Adding to the details. He asked to know what my wife knows about her field of study in Quebec and my wife explained to him that her course is regulated in Quebec and she mentioned the Order handling the regulation (She brought out a printed copy of the Order of Chemists of Quebec that handles the regulation for her course and he asked to see it after which he made some jottings). Also, she gave him print outs of job offers and statistics on the average hourly salary she is expected to make as a Biochemist in Quebec, at this point he was impressed and he made some jottings also. So I advice those planning for the Interview to be prepared in getting enough printouts that could help in substantiating their claims.

My wife is a Biochemist NOC 2112 and I am a Network Support Engineer NOC 2147. Our level of French is Beginner.

Oh, this waiting is just toooooooooooooooooo Looooooooooooooong. 2day makes it 7months since Accra rcivd my file & 6month 19days since they startd processing it. I really hope i get out of d bottomless pit in Accra very soon. DIEU m'aides

How far with your caipes? I am certain something must be wrong somewhere Cos am sure this PRIORITY of a thing works. Get your CAIPS note first and let's know what the issue is though I saw a notification in Accra stating that the processing time is now 9 months but with the Priority we shouldn't be this long. All in all I believe all things works together for our good Brother.

@ caribgrl55, u sure are right. D whole thing dosnt just add up. More worrisome to me is that i dnt knw of any one under QSW to Accra all are in FSW.i really hope that d BIQ guys who came to conduct interview wil demand to see d status of Qsw applicnts. I think there is a kind of conspiracy against Qsw in accra. D official closing hour @ CHC-Accra has just passed. So by nxt week monday,i ll start hoping again. Or is it a payback time 4me for not waiting long to obtain CsQ?

She can get a letter from her present employer (2years) but to make up to the five years, the employments were in UK and not possible to get the letter when you are not there. But she can get the last (her last employment in UK) contract and some payslips, other letters that we have dont have start date or end date, just few notes.

@ Abehola et al, Yeah i av orderd my CAIPs note but i was told it ll take 5weeks to get it 3weeks more 2go. Well as per d 9months u said u saw for QSW in Accra, i dnt think they av any honest intentn of keeping to dat time due to my analysis blow:. Any mail sent by accra usually takes 16-19days b4 it's delivrd 2day being 10th it means d earliest time i can get it is 26th of june, meaning i ll fix an appointment for 27th & d exam sent off to analysis lab in Paris on 28th d earliest time 4 delivery is july 1st. There may b queue in this lab cos it's a regional centre so there is no way to tell aw long it ll stay there b4 d medical rsult goes to Accra. I av not taken cognisance of weekends in ds analysis and it's also based on if i get an e-mail notificatn 2day of which No i got nothing. D 9mnths on there site is unrealistic. They knw aw they go abt it. When its 8months plus they shift d goal post again to 11mnths @ least they av done it twice 4rm 6mnths to 7 then to 9mnths

@ Fiirm, if ur wife is not d principal applicant i.e she is d dependant, then u realy dont need to lose ur sleep over her years of experience. Because dependants are not usually awarded mark for experience hence for dependants, a 5yrs experince is same as 2yrs experince and both ll b awarded ZERO. Despite this, it's not advisable to put nil in her wrk experience so dat u can shw dat ur wife is also professionally inclined. So d two yrs is just enough 4get abt d ones in d Uk
