Hello Guys,

I sent my documents to attorney for Quebec Skilled Worker Program in Jan'2011.

Attorney sent the documents to Hongkong Office on Feb'04'2011. I got a letter from Government of Quebec on Mar'15'2011 mentioning that they don't recognize my attorney and needs to file for representation as per new policies effective from Feb'02'2011. They also returned my Credit Card payment form as processing payment of $395. This letter had one file number on it, starting with HA.

Then, I sent one representation form to my attorney and they filled for represntation along with $100 as representation fee. He filled for represntation in Apr'2011. Also, he sent the payment for processing again in May'2011.

I havn't heard anything back from anyone yet. Please share your experiances.

Thanks,
Vipul Garg

Thanks for the reply. Can you please share your dates. I think, in my case it was just a matter of time. Because the rules changed at the same time when my application was filed.

What do you mean by AOR? Is it the Acknowledgement of Receipt from department that they received the application?

Also, Can you please tell me what is NOC? Is it applicable for Quebec Immigration as well. I heard its applicable for Federal Immigration.

My attorney is http://CILAImmigration.Com
I did my "Bachelors of Engineering" in "Computer Science and Engineering" in year 2004 from India. Recently, I finished my "Masters of Engineering" in "Computer Engineering", but the Masters degree in not mentioned in Application.

I am working in IT since 2004 and I was in USA from 2007 to 2010. I came back to India in late 2010.

Can you please share your details?

I think such letters they send through registered post. In AOR it is just information letter, however in other cases one has to respond in a given period, so therefore, I assume that they send letter like document request and the interview one through registered post.

Hi All,

I am confused looking at the evaluation tool for quebec immigration.

What is equivalent degree of "Masters of Engineering" from USA in "Computer Engineering". Also, how many points do we get for it. Before Master's, I finished my Bachelors of Engineering from India in 2004. I finished my Masters in May'2011.
Also, since 2004, I am working in IT Industry.

I am confused, when calculating the points.

Please help me on this.

Vipul

Do you mean that I will get 12 (for Masters) + 6 (Experience in same field), that is total 18 points. Or I will just get 6 points?

Please note my Degree is Computer Engineering and Experience is in IT for alomost 7 Yrs.

Can we get the english version of the following document somewhere?

Dear All,

Has anyone been asked during his/her interview whether he/she has contacted a regalutary organization like "L'Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec"?!! (my question specially goes for IT/ICT engineers and specialists)

Another concern I have; as far as I am aware..working in IT field is not a "regulated" work. Am I right?!

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanx in advance.
