Hi Guys,

Just an update. Got my AOR today for federal.

Different visa offices and different rules I guess. Only ND visa offfice sends AOR, MR and PPR at the same time.

So I'm kind of set on longer processing than Shahi.

guyz, just a query. do they send interview letter through email or that same ordinary post, through which they sent AOR?

It depends - I got my interview date through email.

And the second question is that why they took 2 years to call you for interview? Because I saw many from HK office who had their interview within 9 months...

yes infact i am from pakistan and hong kong normally takes 2 years for pakistani applicants.i am going to have interview in Hong Kong,

Hi All,

I am on a work permit in Montreal from October 2009 onwards till September 2012. I am planning to apply for the Permanent Residence. Do I qualify for the fast track skilled worker? I am learning French, so it would be helpful I think.

My question is, my wife is in India doing Phd. When I apply for PR, she will be as spouse. Would she need to apply in India? Or is everything ok with my application. Please help anyone who has any idea.

I guess it is safe to assume that whatever you declare in the forms, should either be backed by proof or be sure of passing their scrutiny. If not, there is a good chance of you being asked to furnish additional proof or ur appl getting rejected.

I think it's pretty unlikely, but I think I heard of one person being checked on before. That was probably an exception though; when you send your application, you should also send letters from your employers and pay stubs (Copies), so I think they take that as proof. It would be too time consuming to check up on employers, I would imagine.

Could you let me know the email id from which you got the AoR, I want to 'whitelist' this id in my address book. I'm damn scared about it getting into the spam folder by mistake !! I've had bad experience of important mails getting marked as spam.

Hey there joidiple !



take copies and notarize them. Once docs are notarized by a competent authority, it is as good as the original. dont you want the originals for other purposes ? what if it is not returned ?

Incase you still want to submit your originals, there is no need to notarise them.
