can someone pls explain to me what the selection missions are and how to interprete the table. my interview will be in new york. first aor dated july 2010.
The missions are only designed for countries which does not have a BIQ office. although these missions will usually not take place in every country but it is usually designed for to take into consideration those countries which are far away from the BIQ in which they have submitted their form to. in most cases, applicants who will b interview according to the selection mission will usually take their interview in the country where he/she will have to submit federal application to. the numbers indicates the number of times that this interview will take place within the stipulated months.

@ harsha, which is your visa office? also please share your NOC code.

@ harsha

I am a fluent french speaker as all my school education was done in French and I hold the French Baccalaureate from my home country. I am also fluent in Spanish, English and Arabic.

As for my occupation, I think I fall in the category of Human Resource Specialists (not sure of the exact name and code)

Cheers

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know more about my interview. I was there for 2 hours with a 45 min break. First, the interview lasted about an hour, spoke French for the most part and then the officer swiched to English. We went through all the docs, the officer made a copy of my first and last pay slips and then asked me to wait in the waiting room as he was going to make the decision. Then after 10 mins he comes back and tells me that the system broke and if I could wait in the hall for an hour, I still had time until my flight and I said of course. In the meantime he took another person for the interview. When he was done with the person, he came back and said that the system is now working and it will take it another 15 mins. After that he came back with the CSQ in hand, he explained what I should do next, gave me CSQ and congratulated me. I was so happy.
For French he gave me 12/16 points and he said that I speak Advanced Intermediate. The deciding point,I think, was that I have already been to Quebec and worked there as that gave me additional 5 points.

Good luck!

Congratulation Wings!!!

You did it. I was sure of that, since you have been once in Quebec this make things easier.

Once again Congratulation and wish you all the best in the next step.
