Need info regarding renting an apartment in quebec
Hi,
I will be travelling to Hull, Quebec on the 18th April 2011. I would like to know whether I can rent an apartment mid april there as I heard tht the landlord do not give you the keys until 1st of the month and I cannot afford staying in hotel until 1st May 2011. Furthermore, I will really appreciate if someone can guide me about the location of the apartment. There is an apartment (46 Rue bedard) for $720 which is located 6km away from city centre and it has metro supermarket just 100m away and its 3km away from the main shopping mall. Another apartment (Faubourg de l’ile) is $700 with swimming pool and convenience store 2km away from city centre. However, to go everywhere else from faubourg de l’ile, u need to take bus, it is also 3km away from the main shopping mall. I would like to know which option will be better for me as I don’t know yet how harsh winter can be there.
Regards
Shahzad

Bonjour!
Ca va?

I have prepared everything, from history of Quebec, Montreal and Canada, to religious system, economics, my future plans, my work experience and education.

Now, I can only read those questions and answers everyday, over and over again...

You?
Lirjan?

Best to y'all! :)

Hi guys,

Me too, I prepared answers on every subject, now I talk to myself every day about every subject to get used to some specific words which are new to me. I have 4 weeks to go, so hopefully it will be all good.

I have prepared answers in 9 days, and I have 24 days until interview. You have 4 weeks. :) You will be more than fine! :)
Wanna know my learning thing? I have written every question and answer to that question below, I am reading every day, ~2hours minimum, writing everything over and over again... I am learning (writing part and reading part) maybe ~5 hours per day.

We all gonna be just fine people!

I hope that we all get CSQ, so we can meet in the future, hopefully in Montreal or Quebec, to have a drink, lunch... :)

I am using that kind of method too. Hope the answers of officer will be the same with ours.

manoylo_bg i have almost 10 months in this forum and i have shared many experiences with some kindly people here. This is a good start of making friends and hope meeting each other in Montreal. We will need friends there.

I am on this forum a little bit shorter than you, but I agree man. We all have the same goal, we should help each other. This is a great way to make friends!

Guys,

I am a little concerned about not understanding the questions when the officer asks me. Do you think if it is to ask:

Est-ce que vous pouvez repeter le question lentement svp?

OK, here is the deal:
1. Don't forget that you will be talking to a live person, not a machine that will just throw questions on you;
2. Be calm, don't cross your arms and smile, smile and smile;
3. I think it is OK to say that if you don't understand the question, but, know this, he/she is trained to do that interview with you, he/she knows how to get answer he/she wants from you, it is their job to do so.

Just chill! You will be fine!

It think it will be OK if you draw on the paper or say the answer on english, I think that we all must show the motivation and energy to convince him/her that we are the right person for Quebec.

Hey !

We arent required to send anything in original except the employment reference letters right. So for your DELF certificate, you can send across a notarised copy.

When you get called for your interview, you can produce the original if asked for.

Hope this helps.

Bonne chance !
