Hello Everyone!!!

I am new to this forum, however I am a long time follower!!

Let me introduce myself.

I am from Sydney (Australia) and have received my CSQ last year 2010 and currently waiting for my medicals from CIC Sydney!!

Hi Stngr,

Unfortunately, I cannot tell you the time frame for BIQ Paris; however my understanding is they take around 2-4 weeks to send you an AOR.

I received my AOR in the third week after my Application was received by BIQ Hong Kong.

Shahi, best of luck for your interview next week!!!

Thanks,

Cozi

hello everyone

i have few queries

i just want to know that i did my mba from uk and if i send letter with my application that i did my MBA from uk and the mode of teaching was only english and the place where i m working and living is only speak english so do i need to send ielts certificate to claim points for english or that letter is enough to claims points
and secondly i am going for delf a1 and a2 together next week so do i send my result to embassy now or wait for my aor to come
and third i am scoring almost 68 points without (adaptability)if i clear delf a2,if not then still 64, so how many percentage i have chance for interview waiver.
i applied on the basis of my mba but my BSC (Chemistry) degree is also in high demand in canada. So do i get any advantages for my previous qualifications.

thanks. 1) Yeah, the letter will do. just ensure it is on schools letter head and signed by the Dean of Academic affairs or the Registrar. That was what i used. i collected a letter from my sch and i accompany it with a cover letter where i explained that i have been using english as my first language for over 20yrs and that it is my language of work and play.
2) wait for ur AOR to come bcos they obviously will send u aletter of missing documents with your AOR. YOur only means of identification is ur Dossier and Reference number.
3) if u are applying as a single applicant u need 55points from the first 2-stages for to escape the interview but as a couple u will need 63points from the first 2-stages for to escape d interview.
with MBA they have areas which is in high demand( so it depends on d area of your MBA specialization) but for chemistry it sure will giove u priority processing. I had to keep my MBA degree while applying i only applied with my CHEMISTRY Degree and it paid off. dont worry lets hope for d best, but i think your case look very strong to get all d perks that makes d CSQ easy and fast to obtain. at least i now have a fellow CHEMIST in d HOUSE 8)

Hello egrace

thanks for your reply dear, actually i applied on the basis of my mba because i did my mba in last two years but my Bsc Chemistry degree was more than 10 year old and i dont have any experience in that (chemistry) field. Lets see what will happen, and could you little bit explain me about first two stages about the process.

thanks

egrace62: What do you mean by "I kept my MBA degree and applied only with my Chemistry degree"? You didn't mention having a master's in your application? Wouldn't that only get you more points under the level of education area, even if only your BSc counted under area of training?

yeah, i didnt mention My M.EM qualification in my application( cos qualification with d highest points will b considered). athough it would av earned me 11 points as against the 10points which my B.Sc earned me but thought it better to lose the 1point for to gain 12points for area of training which i am very sure Chemistry will earn me.
2) Again, i was only trying to make my application as easy as possible for whoever will b in-care of my file so as not to create any ambiguity. i knew fully well that even if i submit more than 1-qualification only one of those qualification will be used in categorizing me under the NOC-coding, hence submitting more than 1-qualification which dosent fall under SAME FIELD i guess will only make d officer in-charge more confused with d Noc-coding
3) also, i really wish to practice as a Chemist in Quebec due to its favourable forecast, and since i will not b there @ BIQ, i decided to limit the chances of my being categorized in somethinh other than chemistry.but then each different application is a different case b4 BIQ cos every operational manual is subject to d

stillhope1) employability/pre-screening stage: this put to the test applicants employment prospect in Quebec. factors considered here are: Education,Training, experience, age, Offer of employment,prio-visit/family in Quebec, language.for a double applicant, this stage has a maximum of 101 points, hence any double applicant with a score below 49 will have his/her application rejected without further processing.
for a single applicant, this stage has a maximum of 92points. A single applicant with score below 42 at this stage will have his/her application rejected without further processing.
2)second pre-screening stage:here the officer will consider the following factors: children, characteristics of spouse/partner and financial self sufficiency.at this stage double applicant must seek to increase their point to a minimum of 57 else the application will be rejected. a single applicant on d other hand must increase his/her point to a minimum of 49 else d application will not qualify for 4da processing.
3) SELECTION STAGE: if a double applicant is able to increase point to 63 from the second stage, selection decision will b made based on the file only and CSQ will b issued, double applicant who score less than 63 but up to 57 will b invited for interview where they will have d opportunity to earn part or all d 6-points that is at stake @ d adaptability stage.
A single applicant who score 55 from stage-2 will also get d CSQ without need for interview, while those with up to 49points but less than 55 will be called for interview. In all i believe any applicant who can make it to d second stage have a very strong chance of of success
