yeah, i didnt mention My M.EM qualification in my application( cos qualification with d highest points will b considered). athough it would av earned me 11 points as against the 10points which my B.Sc earned me but thought it better to lose the 1point for to gain 12points for area of training which i am very sure Chemistry will earn me.
Egrace, I'm confused because I was under the impression that points of Level of Education and Area of Training were separate. So, for example, if you had mentioned your Master's, you would've gotten 12 pts for a Master's; plus, since you do have a Chemistry BSc., you'd still get the 12 points for area of training. I mean, you have both degrees; I understand they only choose your highest one for education level points, but isn't area of training a separate category?

I'm wondering what my points will be now. I have a Master's in Sociology (So I imagine I'd get 12 points for that), but a B.A. in Sociology (which I also have), is under the Area of Training (2 points). Does that mean I only get points for my Level of Education and not the 2 points extra? ::)

in your case their appear to be no ambiguity. u will get points for both your highest qualification and area of training. but ,(like in my case the officer will have 2choices to choose between 12 points for M.EM, and 10points for B.SC + 12points for area of training)for those of us who are trained in 2 different fields we are usually left a the mercy of the reviewing officer. Depending on which will give the applicant more mark. The reason Y they have to make this early distinction for those with training in more than 1-field is that so that they will not find it difficult to actually place an applicant into a NOC-job classification. cos every CSQ MUST have this Job categorization and this number is usually 1 to an applicant. This also goes for Experience. Only the experience that goes with the training which gives u the highest point will b reflected on ur CSQ

Oh, I understand now. Thanks for the thorough explanation. ;D

Now, in terms of job experience, I would imagine that it would depend on the field. A field such as mine, Sociology, is incredibly vague and vast - you could do lots of stuff and have it technically be under Sociology. Maybe within Chemistry it is more specific? Not sure.

Whether it will be held in New delhi or hongkong ?please help
Hello Quebec2011,

My interview was held on first week of February.

As you have put up your file before 4 months ago, it will take one year or more than that to get date of interview.

Most probably it will be held in New Delhi.

If you require any help then please do let me know.

Regards,
Bhavikna

bhavnika Congratulation.....

The Permanent Visa it takes 3 or 4 month. I have a question, About that Salery bank Printing. I have my interview in Vienna office at 30 April 2011 and with the documents they asked to bring
on the interview only the originals documents that i have posted at the beginning of my application that were photocopies. and the photocopies of my currently documents translated because till now has past 9 months so i maybe change status or residence ect... But nothing of this Printed Salery Bank. They have asked me to bring also my guaranty from the bank that proves how much money do i have and bring with me in Quebec. Maybe different embassy different rules.

Tell me some suggestion about the interview, How were they, i mean the officers? Did they where clear and slow when they ask you? What about if you don't understand hes question? Can you switch to English if you don't know how to answer him? Do you have to know anything about everything or you be all right just with answering in general?

Sorry to much question, Please share your thoughts and your experience, it will help all of us.

Thanks i advance and once again Congratulation!!!!
Hello Lirjan,

Thanks for your wishes.

Yes, you have to bring all the original documents with you for interview and updated documents which you got during the process of your file, e.g. work experience letter, salary slips, French language certificate etc.

About Interview, Interviewer was so co-operative and helpful. He was asking us questions very softly and he was easy to understand. There is no need to worry about it. Just make sure that you should bring all the documents with you which will be really helpful to you.

Also, please get print out of your job search for quebec which will be really helpful to show that your domain's jobs are available in quebec. As you have lots of time, try to built up your proficiency in french. It will really helpful to you.

Regards,
Bhavikna

Hi egarce2,
Thanks.. yeah, the process went smoothly in my case by the grace of God. Overall, it took around 11 months from the submission of application for CSQ and reception of PPR. I did take me 3 months after receiving CSQ to gather PCCs from 4 countries. However, the visa office here was very fast in processing my file... The average time they told me was 6 months from application. However, they took only 4 1/2 months. My NOC code is 4 digits (1232).... Hope u guys get ur visa soon too. I know how difficult it can be to wait.
Best Regards
Shahzad
