I wish i had the answer to your question. In December when I received the email advising that I am on this waitlist, I did not imagine that i would be still waiting for csq interview May 24. In their email to me they advised that it was not necessary to contact them again, i still braved that and send an email last month requesting follow up and the interview date. I was then advised that no date has been set. I also know of someone from my country who received the same email about a week after me and that person is still waiting.

We are all in the next mission!

Hello all,

I got my CSQ finally, after a long time of waiting. I hope you all will get it, too. Some questions asked in the interview:

1- Talk about your field of study.
2- Why Quebec?
3- How many brothers and sisters you have and what they do?
4- Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
5- What do you do to improve your French?

Good luck all and thanks for answering my questions here

Congrats David.

Pls few questions for you....

When did u submit and which country are you resident, just want to know how fast or slow it was for you.

We have submitted since July 2013 and still waiting..
Thanks.

Hello guys,

In the PR checklist under QSW they ask, beside the birth certificate, a copy of a national ID (if applicable). I am wondering what is considered a national ID, and is it absolutely necessary to submit a translated copy?

Thanks

Thanks. I submitted my Application in August 2013, and I am residing in Montreal. It was a long journey for me, too.

Best of luck to you.

If you come from a country which mandates a national ID card* (France & many others spring to mind), you need to submit a copy. Translation might be needed if not in English or French - read instructions.

*also, if you are not a citizen of the country in which you currently reside, & you have been issued a "resident's " ID card, this may also be required.

In this case how the translation is done, since most countries issue their national ID cards in their local language, and I am guessing it is not possible to issue an English or French copy from the issuing government body, not like the birth certificate?

What do you mean by the second part? Is a work permit considered a resident ID? or is it the entry VISA?

Thanks

You would need to get the document/card translated to English or French by a registered/authorised translator.

Part 2: some countries require resident foreigners to have an ID card identifying them as such. I'm guessing that if you don't understand what I meant, it won't apply to you :).

If you are not comfortable mentioning your country of origin/country of current residence, and want to make sure, you can pm me and I'll clarify :).
