Hi All,
I recently received my CSQ through mail. I am preparing my documents for federal. I have to send my application to CIC office in Kuala Lumpur. However, i am unable to access the pdf file which gives the documents checklist. I have read that different CIC offices have different requirements. Has anyone applied to KL office, be it for federal, provincial or quebec? If yes, please send me the visa office instruction file and also share your experience for tht office
Regards
Shahzad

@Shahi- thks.. My wife is the main applicant and she is bilingual.. she got 730/810 in TEFaq and 8/9 in IELTS.. me, no french (starting to learn now). We both have a MSc from UK while me, i am currently doing my PhD. Well, when we calculated our points, we didn't need adaptability points. I hope it helps

French is not compulsory but certainly a very important factor..While applying if you dont know it..its fine..but once you apply..you must start learning it...

FSW and QSW are almost same in terms of processing times..

You will have to live in quebec till you get citizen in three years...although you can move before as well but thne you will have problems in getting citizenship...so min 3 yrs is the recommended time..

Shahi

@ chikbiks..thanks for your nice comments...but i m also a beginner like all my friends here..

I would not suggest you to change visa office..in fact you cant change it..if you have lived in canada for more than a year then you would have to apply in montreal office..else the visa office that covers your country..you cannot apply based on which processes faster, etc..

Wait for your AOR..it will soon come..
