My application was processed in Mexico, and CSQ took about 7 months and Federal application took about 3 months (God's present for me, it was quick)
You can check the CIC website for specific times for your zone/country.

Hey Amgra, Ayone
can you say if this is the general time period? What is the expected period if on the fast-track? Will an MBA get you on the fast track.
Appreciate the response

pwee - i'm also hoping for fast-track which usually takes 3 months but I dont know ( I have BS in Management - Business)

guys - i'm filling out my application. question about... list every place where you lived at. I recently traveled a bit 2 weeks in switzerland and a few weekends in france, do i have to put down the addresses where I stayed at? Or does the question mean to put every permanent address you lived at in the past 10 years?

Hi,
if you went for holidays for one months or a week no need to but if you have stayed in a country other than your own country for 6 months or more then u'll have to write the address

I really dont know if this applies to all offices, but one i am sure, if you send ALL papers correct, for sure your application will be pricessed quicker. Did you check "processing times for your country?

thx angel..

i hope so i will get my AOR in this week or next..well im curently taking french language class at AF its very helpful for me i will advise you join it too. what are the criteria that they choose to interview you or for interview waive..

Does AOR means that you fulfill the criteria for CSQ or is it something else please clarify?

hey vicky,

You will receive your AOR soon. dont worry..nice to know your liking french..i can relate to it..even i use to (and still) love learning french.
AOR simply means that your file has been opened and will be processed.
Interview call you will most likely get since french is not your first of second language..and nor have you submitted any TEF results with good marks.. i got an interview call even with good scores with DELF A1 and A2 results.

But not a problem as long as you have positive online evaluation and you are able to speak beginner to intermediate french..in other words show your inclination and efforts to learn french..it will do fine..

regards,
Shahi

Shahi,

Did you already get your interview invitation? Well, thats what I understood from reading your mesage to vicky. When did you get it? How soon after receiving AOR? and what date did they schedule it for?
Sorry for asking a million questions, just curious.

Everyone,

I am attaching a receipt from AF that I'm enrolled in French A2. Should I ask my teacher to also write me a letter in French stating that?

Also how many points should I write in French section? I know that for A1, A2 it is 4 points but I think by the time I get to an interview I could easily claim 5 or 6.

Your valuable input will be highly appreciated, my friends :)

Hey wings thanks for the response, I really hope we both do

There is no information for my country, I believe its because nobody from my country has ever applied for a CSQ. So I am a bit nervous. What is freaking me out is that I sent the package minus my pay stubs...and I thought I was being so meticulous. What do you think is likely to happen - will they return it? or start the file and give me the opportunity to send those after? Geez I could beat myself!!!!

I think you should ask AF to do a letter on their letterhead stating you are a student etc. Sorry, can't answer the other
