It means Acknowledgement of Receipt
i think you get it after per-evaluation of points and document. Because if your points are not sufficient they'll just return your file.

Hi Everyone

I am from the Philippines (Applying for QSW) and the immigration office assigned to my country is in Hong Kong. But when I went to the HK website, I saw this;

News

The selection of skilled workers was transferred from the Bureau d'immigration du Québec in Hong Kong to our offices in Montréal

The Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles wishes to inform its clientele that on April 1, 2013 the selection of skilled workers was officially transferred from the Bureau d'immigration du Québec in Hong Kong to our offices in Montréal.

Any new immigration application submitted under the Program for skilled workers must therefore be sent to our offices in Montréal.

The Ministère would like to reassure its clientele that it will continue to pursue its activities in Asia and Oceania with the same due diligence. When necessary, selection interviews conducted by the Ministère with immigration candidates from Asia or Oceania will be held at the locations designated for this purpose in the territories concerned.

No changes for other immigration categories

There are no changes for the businesspeople sub-category. Files under this sub-category will continue to be processed in Hong Kong.

There are no changes for the family sub-category. These files have been processed from our Montréal offices for several years.

Any Filipinos here who submitted their application in Montreal, instead of HK? Need your inputs seniors. Thanks!

Ff up question:

I have 2 years experience as a ward nurse and 1 month experience as a call center agent. I have a very detailed certificate of employment from my hospital but I only got a simple certificate of employment from my call center company. Is it ok to leave it that way? or do I have to make an affidavit stating that the call center company does not issue any form of COE other than their format? Will I attach my copy of the contract signed at the call center with the job descriptions?

all 2013 HK applicants must submit in montreal. as a nurse do not include jobs not related to it, it has no bearing at all.

Thank you @joidiple ! I will submitting my application later via FedEx. Wish me all the luck.

best of luck bro...

One final question before I submit:

Where do I sign and date my forms? On the lower right, upper right? Or on the back? Thanks :-)

I see no point in transferring to other provinces. All provinces are equally competitive and difficult to get job. Besides, as lemans said above, I signed a declaration to CIC that I will live in Quebec. I do not want any complications for my citizenship application.

are you not considering transfering to other provinces? though there's "declaration" thing...

I do not eat Italian food. The only fast food I eat in Montreal are lebanese kebab shops - Amir and Basha. All other outlets are a direct way to XXXL clothing size (except chinese/thai/vietnamese food which I never eat). I guess you know it better after having lived in US :D

That's a fine place to try out many pizzas and calzones ;D And pasta as well
I didn't know that there's such a neighbourhood in Montreal.
The most numerous one is in NY most likely. And the one in Boston is quite small. I've came all over it just in 20 min :)
