You should haved asked the officer what's wrong with your DELF Diploma, because as of this time...it is still recognized as supporting document for french language. But then again, the choice is yours to make...you can either take the risk in arguing your case NOW to higher authorities, or just submit what the officer is asking (take TEFAQ and submit the certificate).
