One last question for you Harit, what made you decide to the DELF and TEFq, or any other French evaluation exam? I have been studying intensive French for a year now and must decide which exam to take and whether to attempt A2 or B1 (which I don't think I am ready for yet)

Hello,

i highly Recommend that you check in nternet the example exams and questions for both !
So that you know yourself which is best for you !
Also, IF you decided to take B1, just take B1 and A2 too ! this is important.

Becasue every part of the exam with marks less than 16, will be considered for the Level before.

Example: you got in B1, in Listening, 15.5, then you will get the points dedicated for A2 in listening not B1.

If you failed to get the needed marks in B1 OR failed in all the Exam (total of less than 50), then you will have to wait another three months. OR 6 months sometimes as in September there is no Exam (at least in my country).

Please let me know if you have any question.

Thank you Signal Maker. Does that mean that even if you fail B1 you can use the same exam to pass A2? By the way do you know a good website to study for A2 & B1? Thanks,

Hello Sarkes,

You said your friend has an interview in december and his file number range near to 668XX....but which country he is from?
In this case he may be from Australia..because BIQ is processing australian files for Dec applicants.
If you are from same country whatever your friend, then you i am sure you will get an interview soon.

Thanks for quick response. for your information my friend applied in mid December'10 and got the AOT at the last of December'10.
as per your information, according to VickyRocks file number (HA0000601xx) my friend's file number (HA0000668XX) is much more updated.there interview distance is only two weeks. They've got almost six thousand difference in file number.
My file number is HA0000695XX. What is your assumption about my interview date????
Our sharing may give us clear light about our future. :) :) :)

Hi,

I had a quick question. Do Quebec applicants have to give two interviews? i.e one at the CSQ stage and another interview after the medicals? Thanks

No, I don't think so. Interview is for the CSQ only and another Federal process is for medical and police clearance. I don't think if you have any queries related to Medical or Police they will call for interview. rather they can ask for clarification in written.

Rizwan

I have to study french by my self, and prepare for exam by myself also
I have no option
do you think 2 month is enough just to prepare for TCF, I mean just the strategies of exam not the french itself?

Hi,

I just sent my file to BIQ HK last week and now looking to prepare for learning french. DO YOU THINK I CAN COMPLETE B1 OR B2 BEFORE I AM CALLED FOR INTERVIEW????? What is the tentative length after application till interview?

Regards

Rizwan

Hello,

i highly recommend this : http://www.ciep.fr/en/delfdalf/sujet.php , take your time downloading and printing everything there ..
i am not sure if you can depend on B1 with number less than 16, but i think if you pass with the total 50 + out of 100, and for the listening and speaking you had something like 14/25 .. then i dont think there is any reason they can refuse these marks for..
Again, i recommecd that you take both exams if you are not sure of your level.. you may get good marks in B1, then you will prove using B1 not A2 ..

to make sure of your exact level, check the website .. if you felt B1 is too hard .. then forget about this idea and just concentrate on A2.

Regards.

according to my own thinking the best thing is to take DELF and tcfq

Delf is bit complicated cos u have to write down the things and there is a flaw of 16/25 i have given A2 delf but i haven't got the required amount of marks and i gave TCFQ in which i got B1 in speak and A2 in listening

but in TCFQ you have to show only your spoken and listening skills which is required in Quebec immigration

and you have chance to get B2/B1 or A2 mixed results ;)

any updates in HK BIQ?

Waiting the new updates and new missions of Quebec web

My friend is applying under PEQ. He took TeFAQ exam and got B2 in oral but A2 in listening (I think he missed a few questions because he didn't click the answers right away on the computer). Is he still eligible? I know that according to the Quebec immigration website, he has to show proof of at least intermediate French, which is equivalent to B1 level... but he got a mix of B2 and A2...

No my friend he didnt miss any, thats what we discussed b4, TEFAQ for every worng answer -1 point. so wrong cancels right heheh

I got high level B1 listening in TEFAQ i need 2-3 questions to be B2 :'(

Hello, it is 3-4 months, you dont have to worry or call them if you didnt wait more than 3.5 months.

THX ;) I'd never suppose it takes so long for the first step (AOR).

I've just got my AOR today. It took exactly 2 months.

Hi there! I don't think it is (Accounting). I sent mine thru Certified Immigration Consultant office down in Toronto, ON directly to Montréal.
