For those who are MBA holders,

Many of you are frustrated because you don't know how many points you'll get for Areas of Training. I was in the same situation until I found this paragraph in the GPI-3:

"Un diplôme universitaire de cycle supérieur à celui indiqué à la Liste des domaines de formation est évalué de la même façon que s'il était de même niveau de cycle. Par exemple, un DESS en administration des affaires au Québec doit être évalué, en vertu de la liste, comme un baccalauréat en administration des affaires"

This means your MBA degree will be treated as "Administration des affaires (BACC. - 3 ans)".

So, You'll get 12 points if your degree is from Quebec/Canada/France. Otherwise you'll get 6 points.

Hope this help.

That is for the AOT. What about education: 10 or 12 points?

If you have a Bachelors in Commerce of 3 years (instead of the 4 yrs rule of Quebec) PLUS a Masters of 2 years, does it give 12 or 10 points???

hi nevillek,
if you are from india,
pls refer to below link to check the points given for master degree.

http://www2.publicationsduquebec.gouv.qc.ca/dynamicSearch/telecharge.php?type=7&file=GPI_3_1_INDE.pdf

Go to Page-2 of this document. It is clearly mentioned that Masters degree in Commerce done from India will get 12 points.

The similar degree comparitif tables can be found for various countries in GPI-1-3 from page 6 to page 10 under the heading: ANNEXE 4 : TABLEAUX COMPARATIFS DES DIPLÔMES.

http://www2.publicationsduquebec.gouv.qc.ca/dynamicSearch/telecharge.php?type=7&file=GPI-3-1.pdf

I hope this will solve your confusion. :)

But why is Only MBA of IGNOU mentioned. And in the AOT 3 year courses are mentioned.
I am very confused.

Hello MKshah,

How r u ? No, I was just kidding ... :)

HU, SU or UCB is regarded as top quality migrants in Singapore.. They have the special privilege on LMP..

Anyway, I had sent u PM few day before. Waiting for your response.

I got AOR. i sent the DD for CAD$875. in that AOR they asked me to send the increased fee. but they increased the fee from 1 april. is that means they accepted my application? did they gone through my whole application or not yet? please advice me.

Actually, I totally disagree the applications fees for immigration......... ???

These applications should be free, they should pay for people to immigrate to Canada. ;D

Seems it became a business for them, I understand they pay the BIQ staff etc..

Dear Members,

Plz if someone of you can help and guide....

I am a divorcee and have a daughter of 2 yrs... I want to apply only for my self single so how my points will be counted and can i apply in 49+6 passing marks or 57+6 passing...

My profile and points as calculated by me

Education: MSc. in Computer application and Information technology from India 5 yrs (12+3+2)-----12 points
Area of Training: Computer Science ---- 6 points
Work experience: 9 yrs ----- 8 points
Age: 32 yrs ---- 16 points
English: L 6.5, S 6.5 --- 5 points
French: A2 ---- 4 points
Financial: 1 point

Total: 52 points

Now if i include my daughter my total is 52+4 of child and total of 56 which is less than 57...

So can i apply single on only my application without child??
Can i go to cananda and then after 1 year get my daughter as dependent on PR?
Also if there are any corrections in my counting or other things to be taken care of ??

Plz advice and thanx...

Can anyone help guide me where I may find the points calculation for Quebec selection criteria? is it the same as the FSW?
Thanks in advance
