Hi angeleye. I have the same problem because we submitted the old form to BIQ-HK and now they are asking for the new form to be submitted. I've submitted the new form because I needed to update some of the information there but I also have old old form saved here in my documents for Canada in case they request the old form stamped by BIQ-HK.

I've submitted my documents to the federal government just this morning. I hope I'll be able to get my MR soon.
. Conguratulation and good luck for your federal part , hope u will get your mr soon. Could u tell where u send your federal application.

Hi, anytime my friend. Yes, I am talking about the documents you have already sent. I know, It would be annoying to send those documents again but just to be on safe side, it is advisable to send those documents again with the AOR number. I hope that helps.

Thanks fReSco, I will keep this in mind. and +1 for your kind advice. :)

Yes it is good to send the new form as it coveres too much of information and it is also a kind of personalised form as it will have barcodes once you validate the entire document after filling up the details.
IMM 0008 is a fillable form. Blank form has 5 pages, but once you fill in all the details and then click on validate, it will check for all the info if any missing, it will ask you to complete it and then once again you need to click on validate. Once validated, this form will have one extra page which containing almost 6-8 barcodes, thus making total 6 pages for your IMM 0008 form.

May be you can attach the photocopy of old form imm0008 which was stamped and returned to you when you get CSQ and write a letter explaining that you are sending the new form IMM 0008 because this is the new process as mentioned website and you are also enclosing the photocopy of old imm0008 form. In case, if they need old imm0008, you will be able to provide it to them.

This is my suggestion. Other members pls comment.

@ mkshah

I was thinking of attaching the old IMM0008 too. Yeah I think the new one is better because it has a validation button that checks if your form is already completely filled. The CSQ for immigration has another page which says that we need to submit an updated IMM0008 form so I've decided to submit the new one but in case they request for the old one I can easily give it to them. The Canadian Embassy is just a 10 minute drive away from where I live.

Great suggestion mkshah. I think the other members would be wise to follow your suggestion.

@ Stillhope

I hope so too. Update us on your application and I hope we'll all see each other in Montreal! :)

i find so many ideas here and assessment but still looking for an answer....got my CSQ in May 2011 ...done medicals in july 2011....when can i expect my passport stamped

Dear aimable,
we all here look for answers for our questions and sometimes we don't get them because there are some things that do not have a precise period, we all have an idea about minimum and maximum time. Normally after you send the medicals it takes around 2-3 month for them to make a decision and then they ask you to send the passports for visa stamping and the period they keep the passports there varies btw 2 weeks to 2 months (the max but rarely happens).

Good luck

Hi guys,

i sent the application yesterday but there are two things that i am confused about

1. the passport copies attached where not nortorised. (would it make any difference, all the other documents are notarized, will they request me
to sent the notarized copies again)

2. I sent the old Imm0008 form which only asked for my name and family name and also my date of birth only.
Now there is a new form appearing which wants alot of information and quite different one. Will they request for the new form to be sent again.

please guys reply at your earliest.

You have already sent the application so you can't do anything now but just wait to see if they will ask you for the notarized copies, it would have been better if you had sent them the notarized ones but wait to see)

I don't think that they will ask you for the new form of IMM008 because in the news about the form it was stated that the old form will be accepted until March 2012 so stay calm about that.

please guys reply at your earliest.

I don't think that it will be rejected for that. They may ask you later to send them but if all the other documents are OK and if you reach the points than I don't think that it can happen(I am not an expert, this is just my opinion)

Good Luck

Guys i have a question..

number of mission: 1
dates: Nov. 7 to Dec. 15
does it mean there is only one interview from N0v. 7 to Dec. 15?
or there is one officer for the length of time given and there will be numbers of interview from Nov. 7 to dec 15

Thanks :)
