Dear Still hope

I have just started thinking for Quebec Immigration as quota for 1122 is filled in Federal Category

Here in Quebec, French Language has 16 points and English has 8.

I am getting 6 in English out of 8 on assessment but 0 in French out of 16. You are from France !! What do u think if i start learning French from French Consulate in my country. Worst come worst how much points i can get in that!!

Low Beginner = 1 + 1 (listening + speaking)
High Beginner = 3+ 3 (listening + speaking)
Low Intermediate = 4 + 4 (listening + speaking)
High Intermediate = 6+6 (listening + speaking)
Advanced = 8+8 (listening + speaking)

If one knows English well, can he/she understand and speak usable French in 3-5 months

Hello All,

I would be applying for CSQ from INDIA, however need some help.

1. The application for the CSQ fees does not have any option to pay through
credit card. Is is possible to pay for the CSQ fees through Credit card ?

2. Do we need to send all documents in the first stage? If we are sending all documents in the
first stage, then what are the documents we will be sending to New Delhi Office.

3. How can I claim points for English Proficiency without IELTS ?

Thanks in Advance.

The best and fast way to pay your application fees to BIQ Hk is DD. It is really easy to make from any Nationalized or international bank in your country.

Good luck

Dear egrace62, STILLHOPE and quebec2011

I would like to ask about my french language proficiency test. What if i retook the test AFTER submitting the first result to the immigration office? knowing that if you take DELF another time, you would forfeit the first result. Would that be a problem or would they keep taking the first score into consideration?

Thanks!

1. The application for the CSQ fees does not have any option to pay through
credit card. Is is possible to pay for the CSQ fees through Credit card ? Go to your bank and apply for a DD in CAD and payable in Canada

2. Do we need to send all documents in the first stage? If we are sending all documents in the
first stage, then what are the documents we will be sending to New Delhi Office. Please be advised that you should not send your documents to New Delhi office, for QSW applicant first you need to send the documents to Hong Kong office and then they will call you for interview at New Delhi office, if you clear interview you will be given CSQ letter and then you need to submit some other documents for visa to New Delhi office... there is a checklist given by CIC for required documents,,, you must send those documents

3. How can I claim points for English Proficiency without IELTS ? You may not send any sertificate for proof of language proficiency,,, they call yo for interview mainly to assess your French and English,,, but you may send IELTS or DELF(or TEF) certificate... while sending your application to HK office you should mark language proficiency level high enough in order to be accepted at initial phase of assessment

Thanks in Advance.

Dear All,

I am from originally from India but settled in Dubai for past 8 years. Just wanted to ask where do i need to send my application for selection cetificate and what all documents do i need to send with the application. I have a close friend in Quebec, will that have any effect on the application?you as indian can send your documents to Hong Kong VO,,, but if you are in any other country and that too you are there for minimum of 1 year, you may send your documents to VO responsible for your country of residence http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en

Me and my spouse do not know french. But I intend to take lessons. Do my wife need to that too?if your wife do not know french the immigration officer may refuse or ask your wife to learn french too and then call you for another interview,, but you as main applicant must know French

Is it good to show the experience in accounting or in Business Consultancy, like in NOC 1122?if you are applying under Quebec Skilled Worker you must show a work experience

How much time it will take to get the certificate and after that do I need to apply to CIC? How much time it will take in total?for me it took around 9-10 months for interview and then it should take 3-4 month to get your visa,,, New Delhi VO is faster as compare to other offices, so I advice you to send your application to NDVO

Also, are the Quebec immigration consultants different from Canadian immigration consultants? Do they need to be registered with some governing body in quebec or registration with CSIC will be enough?there is no separate immigration consultants for Quebec
I do not know where to start and seeking help of seniors to start the process.go through http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en and http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/ thoroughly you will get all the information

Thanks in advance.

I would like to ask about my french language proficiency test. What if i retook the test AFTER submitting the first result to the immigration office? knowing that if you take DELF first of all why u want to give same test again, better u can give next level one another time, you would forfeit the first result and secondly until u inform them that u have passed same test again how can they know that u again given the test and u passed that one because Delf they will send it to u not to visa office, may be tef they can send to visa office directly instead of u. this is purely my thoughts. i suggest u that better u can give next level exam then u can update your file. . Would that be a problem or would they keep taking the first score into consideration?

Thanks!
