* some thought about our interview and migration office *

because I'm residing outside my country at the moment,
I was wondering whether receiving our CSQ can depend on the office (BIQ) that we submit our application and go for the interview?
at least depend to some extent?
maybe because of the officer that interviews you and also the workload of that office ...

I don't know, but like someone posted here that they even gave the visa to a couple who were very weak in their French!

some of us have the choice to go to the office covering our home country...

any ideas are welcome

Dear All,

I know this mentioned below would not affect QSW applicants directly but just to be informed:

Today, the minister of immigration announced the list of occupations in demand and the cap that will be taken from those occupations.
A maximum of 10,000 new Federal Skilled Worker applications, without an offer of arranged employment, will be considered for processing each year.
Within the 10,000 cap, a maximum of 500 new Federal Skilled Worker applications per National Occupation Classification (NOC) code will be considered for processing each year. Last year the total cap was of 20,000 with a maximum of 1000 from each occupation.
For the unique purpose of calculating the caps, the cap year will begin on July 1, 2011 and end on June 30, 2012. Consequently, shall be placed into processing:
The applications from skilled workers with evidence of experience in the last ten years under one or more of the following National Occupation Classification (NOC) codes, not exceeding the identified caps:

1122 Professional Occupations in Business Services to Management

However, applications for Quebec are not affected since the Quebec selection system has no restricted occupations.

After my applied for CSQ,BIQ did not conduct interview in india for long time.They gave me interview call for 12 Oct 2010 and again they rescheduled it.so it has taken long time.

also please I would like to know how long it takes to get the canadian citizenship? A PR-holder will qualify for Citizenship if and only if such person has been physically present in canaday for a total of 1095days within a 5year period. so for those who ll b present for straight 3years without leaving, such will bcom a citizen after 3years but those who will travel-outside canada will av to accumulate this physical presence within a 5year period

Good, I had my questions answered, now I have new questions

@ STILLHOPE, okay, I will tick 1 for my French ability in the application form.
Yes if I get 2 points for my French then I will have enough points (minimum 49)
By “admission receipt” of french language you mean a receipt/paper that I'm attending a French course? yeah that was what he meant

By “AOR” you mean the confirmation from BIQ (or migration office) that they have received my application and give me a file number YEAH U ARE RIGHT? (sorry guys I'm still confused with all these terms )
So from your profile I can see it takes around 4 months to receive the AOR.
but then, at this point (after getting AOR) I will have to present a French test result?
Then I'm not sure I'm going to make it in 4 months!
I've just started French and I also have other things to do with my work and stuff... well with determination, 4months should be too much for to clear A1, with 4months u should b in A2,

Which one do you recommend by the way:

yes you're right. It's strange if they expect you to be perfect in French
But as I said I heard of people being postponed or rejected because of their weak French.

I should submit my application asap before my IELTS expires on September pls do
I have General IELTS (not academic) which I assume is valid for 2 years

For the Interview *:
Other than general things that you'll answer, the key point is French. Right? yeah
The interview will be in French? yeah

I contacted the BIQ Vienna the same day I posted my questions here *
Maybe this is helpful for some people on this board:
they replied my email and among answers to my other questions the said that “ french test result is not necessary”!
Okay! But you're correct that we should send it... better for our profiles
They also sent me the information in French from BIQ Vienna, I'll try to find info in “Guides des immigration" that you said.

There's also a pointer about our current country of residence, which you know defines our immigration office.
In definitions they say “country of residence: “... You must have been legally admitted to this country for a period of at least one year. ...”
Now I'm living in Estonia, I came here 6 months ago from Iran and I have 1 year of visa
so I hope Vienna will be my office
Damascus office is busier, takes more time also flying back there is quite expensive

again one questions about the terms,
Is DCS same thing as CSQ? (Certificat de sélection du Québec)
DCS means demande de certificate du Selection i.e the form
okay,
I'm done with my questions for now!
I'm going to prepare documents and forms for my CSQ

Hope that this is changed now, Isn't it possible that your file was delayed because they had received your application prior to October 2009? and then Applications were taking longer time. any idea is highly appreciated.

TO claim point for my brother, my brother(lives in montreal) has sent me all the papers that needs to be filled by him.

But BIQ honkong has requested for relationship document.

I am planning to send

1.) notarized copies from municipality ( with my father's name , mother's name , my name and my brother's name).

2.) My brother's birth certificat

3.) my birth certificat.


Please let me know If I need to send more information.

@ plncmy, yeah their is no better way to go abt this relatnship issue than 2ru ur municipality. But u need take note of d following. 1) the attestatn u want to get MUST be addressd to ur BIQ Hence d original copy must b sent to them while u ll make a copy for keeps for future reference. 2) the attestatn MUST state d names of all d offsprings of ur parents.the attestatn must go beyound stating of names. In additn to d stating of names, it must also categorically state dat so and so are related by birth.and thus give its verdict on d relatnship between u two. With all these and d docs ur brother sent u. U are good to go. Hope ur brother notarized all d docs he sent u 4rm montréal unless he is home in India, that is when an indian notary 4him wil b ok. But if not all ur brothers' doc must b notarizd in Quebéc. If he is home in India as at d time of ur making copies of his docs, then it will b necessary u also submit copies of his travel documents home

They need prof of relation that he is your real brother so
You and your brothers document
boths of your's passport copy where your fathers names mentioned.
both of you date of birth certificate where your fathers name mentioned.
Your Pan number/ voter i.d card where your fathers name mentioed and your brother P.R card and social security card of your brother and any other documents which shows your father's name.

all documents must be notarized.
