Those IT professional who have landed in quebec or are landing there soon, Pl help .
whar are the chances od getting job in SAP IT field in quebec ?
Secondly, i have heard that once we get PR for Quebec , we must have to live in Quebec Province only atlst for 2 long years. i am little bit worried since i have no idea on quebec IT job market so what if i wud not get any IT job in Quebec. in that case also, i need to live in Quebec??Pl share your findings..

mft25 (Reply #15947 on: October 31, 2012, 07:45:44 am. Page@1064)
Where do you live and work now ? You are so confident that you gonna be accepted by quebec ! Do you know French ? Do not worry about finding job if you know french. Yes you should stay in quebec for 3 years as you will sign on paper that you will stay there after getting nationality you can go whereever you want

signalmaker (Reply #15956 on: October 31, 2012, 04:00:30 pm. Page@1064)
Dears,
This is not true, there is no official obligation on staying three years.

Sarkes01 (Reply #15978 on: November 02, 2012, 01:39:33 pm. Page@1066)

If I want to move in future what's the barriers for that??? Is there any rule I can't move in Québe??. Any senior form member please gives us to authentic suggestion.

Master7 (Reply #15979 on: November 02, 2012, 01:58:56 pm. Page@1066)
Like a fellow member replied before, once you become a citizen you can move anywhere you want, in the meantime you must remain in the province that sponsored you (unless you applied federal) otherwise this is considered a breach of contract and you might problems in the future.

Thanks for your words. But is there any written robust Roles?

Given is the reference forum conversation for easy understanding and knowledge from where the question has been raised and the confusion has been created. Some forum members like you(as per your self ref) are really experienced and knowledgeable to mitigate the confusion of forum users. As an ordinary forum member when I used the word “authentic” or “Robust” , I expected a true information with reference(if there is any in CIC law or in Canadian Immigration Law) as you’ve studied it for four years and you’ve "I kind of know" what you talk about!!!!!!

Backlog of skilled immigrant applications gone by end of 2013
Published on Friday November 02, 2012
The Canadian Press
The Harper government says a backlog of skilled immigrant applications, which has clogged the system for years, is declining rapidly and will be eliminated by the end of next year.
Immigration Minister Jason Kenney says about 100,000 applications are still in the system, compared with 640,000 just a few years ago.
He told a news conference the eradication of the waiting list means a new immigrant labour pool from which employers and provinces can choose will be established ahead of schedule.
The backlog was culled by a measure in last spring's contentious omnibus bill, which threw out 280,000 applications filed prior to 2008, a controversial move that saw the federal government refund $130 million in application fees.
Without flushing the system, it was estimated the backlog wouldn't be cleared until 2017, but the decision is being challenged in court by lawyers who plan to launch a class-action lawsuit on behalf of people whose applications were wiped out.
Kenney says by the end of next year, the government will be able to process skilled immigrant applications within a year, rather than eight years, which had become the norm.
He says the reforms are “finally unshackling Canada from the outrageous backlogs and wait times of the past” and will bring people who are likely to find and keep good jobs into the country.
“The system had become totally dysfunctional. It was broken, and it was getting worse,” Kenney said. “Strong action was necessary.”
The Conservatives in 2008 imposed limits on the number of skilled immigrant applications they would accept and with that action alone, Kenney says, the backlog was sliced in half.

If you meet this criteria you can apply under QSW.
Please check below link for more information.
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/applications-receipt.html

You or your accompanying spouse hold a diploma awarded by a teaching institution in an area of training allowing you to get 6 (see list, in French, 38 kb), 12 or 16 points under the area of training criterion of the selection grid for skilled workers (see list, in French, 35 kb). The number of years of study required to obtain your diploma must be at least equal to the number of years required to obtain that diploma in Québec. This diploma was obtained less than five years before the date of your application. Failing that, you must have practised, on a full-time basis and for at least one year out of the five years preceding the date of your application, a profession or trade in an area related to that diploma.

really sad that your application has been returned. Your AOT falls in section E. that's why, they have returned your application.

If you are really interested for Quebec, then try after 31st march,2013 bcoz they will accept applications of section E after this given date, according to present rule.
