Since you live there, is it safe place to live, i always read about crimes, specially montreal, maybe its normal.

I mean is it safe to come back home at 2 am or 4 am ?

not really . :) . You see snow beside the streets. But the street are clean from snow. Any car would be fine :)
really i respect the Canadians for being in a continuous fight against nature .
I do have a jeep in Lebanon ! Was wondering if i can take it or sell it here and buy a new one when i Get there .

Yes it's safe. Its a lot safer than Lebanon for sure. It seems theres a lot of crimes because that's what the news reports. Some areas have more crimes than others, again, because that's where police concentrate their efforts.

Most crimes are committed by people that are known to this victim anyway. So stay clear and mind your business and you will be fine :)

I would sell it...cars are much cheaper here than in Lebanon.

How do you know that? It's because the news stations like to report the "bad" and never report the "good"...so akid its gonna seems the crime rates are so high.

ladies , :) did you take all your jewelry ? Will it cause any problem ? Did you photograph it as the link provided by Canadian cit ? Ok with a photo on mobile or they want it printed ?

I think they are refering to jewelry in boxes and in your luggage and not the ones on you. They just want a good excuse to charge you taxes if they are worth a lot. I never had a problem coming in and out with my jewelry. However, I sent my ring with my brother to Lebanon a couple of months ago to get fixed, they gave him a hard time on his way back at the airport. They were going to keep my ring because he didnt have a receipt. Thank God after an hour, they believed him and they took down my information...but they never called to check.

Sometimes they can be real jerks at the airport, so its you and your luck. The best thing to do is stay calm and answer all their questions. If you start getting smart and angry with them that`s when they can refuse your entry to Canada. But to be on the safe side, bring all your receipts.

there's a Lebanese saying about the fox who couldn't catch the grapes , so he looked at them and said you're still bitter !
Just kidding LEMANS.
In Canada in general as Canadian cit said , they make a story and a big deal from small things that happen there.but it is safe , and all criminals are behind bars .

well there`s not that many serious crimes compared to the US for example...so most crimes are petty...like theft, drugs...I don`t feel unsafe going out a night.
