Our passports were sent to CHC London on 29th July, 2013 and according to them i shuld not expect to receive passprts back before five weeks time.

Can somebody tell me wheather visa stamping can be refused even at this stage, if yes what could be the reason.

Wow, some people on this forum are complete assholes. Typical Lebanese know-it-all attitude that always ends in failure.

First, for the 100th time, I am FEMALE.
Second, you know nothing about me to make any kind of judgement, and I'm not about to waste my time explaining anything to you.

For anyone else who would genuinely like to know, I'm going back to Lebanon 1) for personal reasons (family and longtime boyfriend) and 2) because I work in tv and film and I have a great offer to work on a project to be shot in Lebanon and abroad. I never said I won't be coming back to Canada and I'm not giving up on anything.

As for dkeyrouz and jadzz, good luck with your brilliant careers working at the self-serving gas station.

Don't get offended, I think people are just stressed out from having waiting so long and jumped to conclusions that you came to land and get the pr and go back to Lebanon...which obviously they shouldn't have.

You mentioned the boarder officers were very nice...which they usually are to females that don't appear "suspicious". I was just wondering what types of questions they asked you, other than how much money you were bringing with you.

Why wouldn't I get offended when they were clearly doing their best to be offensive? We're all adults here, I assume, and all responsible for the things we say and the way we behave.

Everybody has been waiting for a long time, that doesn't give anyone the right to be disrespectful. We're supposedly here to share information that other people might find useful, not to make judgements and insult each other. Circumstances change, especially over a long period of time, and what each person decides to do with his/her own life is his/her business. I don't have any desire to discuss my personal life and my personal decisions any further and will no longer be sharing any of that information here.

Some people make it big here, have successful careers and raise families and live a good life, others sleep on the floor at the metro station and beg for money from passersby to get something to eat. Some live off of minimum wages, rent a small room somewhere and barely make enough to pay their bills, and are content with that. No matter what, it is a person's choice to live the way he/she wants, it is for nobody else to judge.

They didn't really ask a lot of questions. Just the regular ones like "where are will you be staying?", "what are you bringing in with you?", "do you have goods to follow?" etc. Then you sign the COPR form and they give you photocopies of all your papers and you're done.

Dear Randski,

We never offended u and obviously we misunderstood u.Actually It is not my problem or my concern what you do with your life(Bil niheyi kell wa7ad bya3mel li bi ray7o).I only said what I would do.I have been working in Africa for more than 5 years now and been waiting for the visa for more then 6 years,so going to Canada is like a dream for me.
Also no need to insult and undermine us. We are in this forum to share any news, update, sometimes our thoughts and experience and to help each others.

Best Regards,

as a new immigrant to Canada, you can send your furniture and bigger items by cargo free of charge. I am not sure how long it takes to receive them though.
