My last update was last July so it's been more than 6 months for sure...

I would contact them asap for an update...I get mine automaticaly every 6 months. Maybe your update can updated the rest of us! lol

Hopefully it will, fingers crossed as always

hey guys
Anyone has got his medical, an information update or even a reply from the embassy ?? :)

Usually I get a reply from the embassy 10 days after I send an email. I contacted them on march 14 and until now there's no reply... I guess they ran out of answers since all they do is send the same email to everyone

Today I applied for another visit to Canada which is gonna be this coming summer, fingers crossed!!!

Can you please tell us if they gave you the tourist visa? because I'm thinking too to apply for it but i am afriad of the rejection since I have an immigration file pending..

Thank you

Nora

The immigration file has nothing to do with the visit visa. I got a visit before and now i'm applying for another one from Saudi Arabia. it is way easier than Lebanon because it takes max 16 days to be processed. I received the first visa in like 7 days or so. In case you want to guarantee a visit visa you should provide them with your immigration files too, this way you will convince the VO that you're not going to jeopardize your immigration documents and exceed the period allowed to stay in Canada which is 6 months. Mention in your application that you will be staying no more than 1 month, otherwise the VO will become suspicious...

Okay, thank you very much...So I might apply soon too, from Lebanon though since I live in Damascus... and fingers crossed :)

Usually, the processing time after medicals is 10~12 weeks till the ppr.
Hopefully, all of us will get medical and then ppr in 2013.

Let the visa stamping take time, this is not an issue. What matters most is the medical exam, this is where the time wasting lies. I've been talking to some friends and I've known that most of them are planning to apply as of May 1st, so I can only imagine how the processing will become...

Dear csaade
do you know what matters the most nowadays ??
Is that an officer is working on your file. When that will happen, you will get your medical in less than 4 months and the ppr in less than 7 months. Wish you best of luck

In Abu Dhabi visa office I know 2 people got medical, quebec applicants. and another one was asked to take the medical again since it expired

if an applicants has less than 2 years after file number, and he/she lives in Gulf. It's better to transfer his/her application to abu dhabi office. Since abu dhabi office is very active and fast unlike Beirut office. :)

Very active alright but to make a request for a file transfer and wait for it to reach Abu Dhabi office and who knows when it will be assessed by the VO. it is a long process and nothing but a waste of time...
