Omega i have already seen the link you sent before.
We are Bucharest Office and they have their own way of doing things.

Regardless, you cannot compare Visa Offices because they all have different processing times.

As for the security checks when i ordered CAIPS it stated NOT STARTED.

I have checked on many immigration websites and it states that security checks usually take from 6 months to 12 months, but sometimes they may take several years. I can provide you with these websites if you need.

I still think that if our ecas is not INPROCESS ya3ne ma balasho el security!! Why, we have no idea ? Maybe our files are in queue, or maybe it is because of the visa officer, etc...

I inquired concerning my file in May 2014 and this was there reply:

"Dear Sir,

Please be advised that this file was transferred to us from the Visa Office in Beirut and therefore our published processing time does not apply to those cases which were in the inventory of the Beirut office awaiting processing.

Please be advised that your file is in processing and is currently awaiting completion of security checks. We will inform you in due time when we are ready to pass to the next stage of processing."

My medicals expire in Mid Sept! I will resend them another mail at Sept. 1st

I only wonder why did some people get security finalized while others are still waiting!

i totally understand your frustration, but guys you should relax and stop analysing. ECAS is never reliable, it depends on the officer some update the ecas and some dnt. it is not reliable at all. our file was application received for 4 years while they were working on it.

KEEP in mind that security checks take more time than before, sometimes duplicated names might delay stuff, sometimes if you lived in several countries since they need to check with every agency and that takes a lot of time between files and emails going back and forth between all concerned parties.
