Yes I expired and I received by mail a renewed copy and its valid till mid july 2014

The bucarest vo can request ppr while the status is application received ? or it should pass to in process to request the ppr?
my status is application received . I did the medicals in 8 july 2013 .

in my opinion, I think this whole e-CAS story is not accurately applicable for CSQ files. It is rather more valid for FSW for many reasons.
- as per CIC website and as per many applicants who got their CAIPS documents, the first check that will be done on each file is the eligibility check, after which the file will become "in Process" and will pass to the remaining checklist (background, Security and Medicals). So in order to become "in Process", the file must pass the eligibility check. However, for CSQ applicants, this eligibility check was already done by Quebec before issuing the CSQ.
- Furthermore, the Medical exams are usually requested as part of the processing checks. and since they already requested our Medicals, it means that our files are "in Process" even-though it is not explicitly mentioned in our e-CAS.

So I think this updating problem is related the the agent in charge who can decide to update your e-CAS or not.

Anyway, it's my point of view, and I hope I'm right about it. because I'm in the same boat ;P

for the UAE driving license, u need to get a certificate from RTA stating when u received it and the type of car u were licensed to drive, they mention on it that its meant for canada...


For the lebanese license, u need to get that paper min il nef3a.. and translate it since they dont give it in english

I think they already started it when they requested the medicals...
I've read someplace in this forum that sombody got his ppr while his status was in "application received"..

i have seen on caips for a friend from bucarest,

it show security , elicability, criminality all passed and date of each update is the same date of the 3rd line on ecas ,we started processing your file on xx-xx-xxxx (is the date of pass of backrounds etc)

Visa was received after 60 days from the date on ecas //the 3rd line //

Most probably, there is no logical pattern being followed, must be related to the agent.
Mine is still application received,meds received, its been 5 months now.
There should be an accurate timeline for each applicant.

my ecas shows in process since 9 November , more than 120 days already..
