To get a Quebec DL you will the following:
- confirmation of permanent residency (received at the airport)
- certificat de selection du Quebec
- Lebanese DL officially translated
- Passport
Everyone must take 2 tests, one theory and one driving test. Theres 2 books that can be purchased in bookstores or from libraries.
The lady said that it's better to book an appointment right after landing, because there's a waiting list. Unfortunatly, Lebanon is not on their list of countries where they can just transfer the liscence over without testing, so these exams are mandatory. However, the years of driving experience may be considered by some insurance companies.

Bring both, your original copy and your translated copy. You need to have them with you with the international driving license to be able to drive the first 6 months.initial said:thanks. very useful.
