Quebec applicants 2010(Damascus) waiting for medicals

Does anybody know how much money you are allowed to hold when entering Canada for the first time?

Less than 10,000$, Canadian of course. Anything more than this amount you have to pay tax for it

Hello everyone,

This my first post. i just saw this forum and read your comments.
i am from syria. i got the CSQ in january2011.
my file was transferred to Amman in Feb2012.
they sent me the the new number in july2013. (EP*****)

since that time i am waiting for the medicals.
-
of course, my story seems very normal to all of you,
but the problem is NOT only with waiting because my passport is gonna be experied after 10months.
renewing it (without much talk) is next to impossible.

i really dont know what to do ? amman office is not responding to any of my emails.

please answer me. what is the best move i can do ???.
i cant just wait and when the visa is ready to be issued, i wont have a valid passport.
is there a way that the embassy will consider my situation.
?????

Sometimes credit cards give headache when used internationally, so personally i dont dare to pay via it when it is about the immigration :D

I just received the renew of my csq by post.
There is 2 copies one for me and the other for the VO.
Its valid till july 2014.

I have a question : what should I do at this stage?
Should I send the copie related to VO to romania? Or I should wait them to ask for?

If they didn't ask for you to submit it to the VO, then don't. They may ask for it with the ppr. Your file will be updated with your CSQ renewel. I know this because when I requested the new caips, it said CSQ was renewed and extended 1 year.
 
Hi Nab . When did it expire ? Did you contact them or they sent it without your asking ?

I will send the copie related to the VO to bucharest VO, because thats what they said in the mail:

La copie immigration canada devra etre expediee au bureau canadien des visas. L'original de ce certificat doit etre soigneusement conserve , car il est requis pour l'acces a differents services gouvernementaux quebecois
