Back in Jun this year I went to a school in Beirut and I paid the registration fees for "Petite Section" class, this is the first time my little daughter enter to the school, and as I planning to settle in Montreal I thought it will be good for her to start learning french...last week I paid the first settlement of the tuition fees. Today while I'm taking information about the cantine they said to me that according to Lebanese laws my daughter is under age to enter to the school by 6 days, in other word just ones who born in 2010 are allowed to enter to the petite section class, my daughter was born in 6-Jan-2011 so she's 6 days ONLY under age... so she has to wait till next year to enter to the school "I'll have a fight with them tomorrow"
so my question is, does any one knows what is the age bracket for student to enter school in Quebec? I know they start from age of 5 but any one has more information about this?
Thanks

Pre-kindergarten 4, kindergarten 5, first grade 6
You also have a choice to request the materials from the ministry of education and teach ur child at home.
Laval schools are good cause the area is mostly made for families. I have relatives there and I looked around the area. Most schools, malls... are built near the houses. It takes 35 minutes max to reach dt montreal. The city is calm and not to crowded, houses are cheap but kind of old, you'll have to fix it a little

Nope nothing yet! The MP is able to get us another update on Oct. 12 if we don't hear anything until then. I have a feeling November will be our month!

I might do an inquiry with the MP in mid October if I don't hear anything. Maybe I'll go see him in person if I'm still here by then

You should. It's nice to have a date to look forward too? How long are you planning on staying?

It's been almost 50 days for me here. I should be leaving by Saturday so I duno if I might reschedule. I want to make my stay in KSA very short before I come back during Xmas time. I just hope I can hear something from the embassy before I leave

300,000-350,000 can get you an old house that could use some renovation, some of them are dated more than 30 years but in good condition. It's a separate house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, basement with storage room, backyard and front yard with a garage for 1 car. The prices keep getting high but they're still cheaper than Ontario.
You can download duproprio on ur iPhone since you're far, they have great deals.
Gatineau has cheap houses too but the only problem is the job. They ask mostly for sales people.
You'll enjoy living around Montreal but in it... Spending most of ur time on the roads won't be good with the gas prices increasing everyday... I faced this problem on Quebec side but not on Ontario's cause its cheaper

Renting in Laval or Gatineau is a good start, at least until you get your pr card and start working. The bank won't discuss the mortgage with you till after 3 months from working. Plus you need to have a good credit history
