Quebec applicants 2010(Damascus) waiting for medicals

I went to both . First Toronto and by bus to Montreal. Was fun. About 9 hours But nice views from the bus.

i met someone from victoria and they suggested that they can request information about my immigration file from someone in the government they know, did they mean a MP? will that provide information more than CAIPS? and wont that affect my file since i am quebec applicant and the request will come from someone from outside quebec?

yes the mean that, but no need, your still a new applicant, since now they are doing April 2011 your turn will come soon, no apllicants on 2011/2012 became very rare

They most likely meant an MP. They can get you more accurate information than CAIPS, because by the time caips are received, things may have changed. For example, my newest caips notes said the next bring forward date is April 2014 and that background checks have not been started yet, when in fact the MP told me the bring forward date is sept 12 (two weeks from now) and background checks have been started.

As for you being a Quebec applicant and requesting information from the federal...well if your waiting on the federal portion it should be fine...the worst thing that can happen is they ask you to re-sign the intent to settle in Quebec form.

But as Lemans mentioned, if your processing time is within the normal times, caips should be sufficient.
