Hi everyone, I am very new to this forum. I submitted my application through my law firm, Cohen Campbell on March 28 at the Montreal Office. I received my AOR on June 5 from BIQ Mexico. They received my file from Montreal on April 15. My husband is the principal applicant and his area of training is Chemistry. I am applying from Jamaica.

Geochaddy,

I still have a long way to go so landing is not my priority right now. But now, i have a sister in Montreal who will obviously accomodate me when I Land before i try to get a place for myself. We all keep our hands crossed.

I will advice you and your spouse to take TCFQ. It is so far the easiest test. It has two sections: 15 minutes for the Speaking part.....EXPRESSION ORALE and 30 minutes for the Listening part.......COMPREHENSION ORALE.

I'm from the US, and I applied around November 21, 2012. I got my AOR on February 15, 2013. Now comes the long wait for the interview.

While we wait, let us all sharpen our french skills. I understand it is a major determinant of how soon one gets a good job in Quebec. So let us parler and apprendre while our documents are being worked on.

Cheers

Greetings to all new applicants,

In addition to practicing french my suggestion to everyone would be to determine if you intend to practice a regulated profession in Quebec and whether or not you need to do a comparative evaluation. I guess that's very important to figure that staff out before interview.

Let's keep in touch.

Welcome again to our friends from USA and Naija.

Ievgen has said it all. Check if your profession is regulated in Quebec and start the registration process meanwhile still in your country.
