Hi guys!

I also applied for QSC this March and received AOR last week. It was a little faster than I expected. Based on the new rules it takes on average 3-6 months to receive AOR.

At the same time I filed a separate application to a professional body that regulates my profession in Quebec to obtain a work permit.
Surfing in the internet I've figured that it makes sense to ask the professional body first if you need to do Évaluation comparative des études effectuées hors du Québec at all. Some professions don't require it cause it's just a comparison of your degree to its Quebec equivalent.

Hi Stylove,

I appllied from Ukraine and my AOT is Chemistry that gives 12 points. Thus, I should be in the priority group. Also hope to waive interview with 57 points. Let's think positively and I'm sure someday all of us will get CSQ!

Dear friends today i got a mail In my spam that my Cheque had been encashed. The mail was dated 10 Mai 2013. It has been 2 months and 2 weeks that i sent in my application. Is this good news? When should I expect my AOR?

Does this mean my file has been opened? or accepted?

Please share your ideas. Thanks

Stylove,

But that's good news my friend. I think it means they will now start to process your application. At least they won't return your application.
Did you get a reference number anywhere??

Hi Janki,

I've graduated this year with MS from U of Massachusetts, but I'm from Ukraine and applied for CSQ from my home country.
Also, I applied separately to professional order that governs a chemist profession in Quebec. Applicants with degrees obtained outside of Quebec need to apply for a work permit to practice certain professions. The details about it are in my thread here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/professional-orders-obtaining-a-permit-finding-a-job-in-a-regulated-profession-t149148.0.html;msg2289126#msg2289126

So you are not working right now?
