Hello guys,
Just to say I am also a QSW 2013 applicant. Sent my file to Montreal 1st week of June...and just like you Rifiel, no email, no AOR and no charge on my CC yet. I have a classmate in Alliance Française and she sent her file to Montreal last month and after two weeks she got an email that they received her file but it was not an AOR yet...So i guess we'll just patiently wait.

A question to all: did any of you (QSW 2013 applicants) received an email confirming that MICC received your papers already? The email is not an AOR, i think it is just to let you know they received the papers you sent them. I just want to know how long they usually send emails to let us know they received our papers. Although when I checked with my courier, mine was delivered (received) in Montreal on 5th June but i haven't received any email from MICC to validate this. Thanks.

Yeah Rifiel that's possible becuz i can remember i read somewhere on this same forum that someone who applied from Mexico BIQ got his CSQ 7 months after applying, and without any AOR....hmmmm hope it applies to us all.

I don't have any AOR yet and it will be 4 months since i applied, and over a month since my Cheque was encashed by them

Someone advised me to email them and ask for file number? c'est evident? should I ?

Hey Alq814, welcome to this forum and feel at home.

Not everyone receives emails to confirm receipt of documents. some receive emails to confirm debit of cc or encashment of dd, with or without AOR.

Some just receive an email confirming opening of file with file and reference number at once. So there is NO USUAL ROUTINE.

The bitter truth is: YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR 4 TO 6 MONTHS from date of application, before you can start asking them while u don't have a file number yet.

Patience is the watchword!!

As a registered nurse, your application should benefit from priority processing, and so you shouldn't waste much time. Send your application asap, and make sure its before July 31st as law changes my not favor you.

It won't hurt anything/anyone if you email them But i suppose your AOR should be in the mail. (physical one) After charging you, they should send your letter immediately. Also check your SPAM folder. If you can't find anything, email them and ask.

Oh well we take it the way we see....nothing anyone can do about it now.
