When the notice came , I had already travelled to Iran.

There are no security issues and I haven’t travelled since I came to Iran,

I have seen 3 other people with the same issue, waiting for PRTD more than six months in Iran. I also saw someone got it after 5 months in July. All residency obligations met.
in July the MP told me that the Eligibility Review had not been started then,
How did you get pR status (what program)?

I assume the problem is related to Iran, given the info you're providing here. I don't have any further info but can only guess it is likely security related. I haven't heard of systematic issues of this type for those in compliance with residency obligation.

While you should order the GCMS notes, I warn that if there is anything security related behind the delay, you will likely not see anythign of importance other than notes that some info withheld for security reasons (usually with a cite to the relevant part of the privacy act).

so the GCMS won’t speed up anything then.

I got my PR status through Quebec skilled worker. I was in Canada for a year in 2018. the whole application took about 8 months!

My MP sent an escalation letter in early September, it hasn’t been answered yet.
I wonder why the office hasn’t even bothered to answer once to my webforms and inquiries.

On its own it will not speed things up. I'd still suggest ordering it though - sometimes the info there is useful and can help to resolve things (if you identify somethign missing that you can provide, for example).

I do not know. Remember, I'm only guessing, but my somewhat-informed guess is that they don't know what to respond (which might be the case, for example, if it is stuck with another agency i.e. security).

One more thing, is there any way for a representative or family member to go to IRCC office to pick up the PR card,?
I mean with a written authorization

I mean with a written authorization

“In some cases, we may ask you to pick it up at one of our offices. If we do, bring your passport, or other travel document, and the original documents you sent when you applied. If you don’t pick your card up within 180 days, we will destroy it and you will have to apply for a new one.”

If they won’t mail it to a non Canadian address , nor to a third party , and it’s not stated you can authorize someone to pick it up , I’d assume you can’t

And why would they allow it ? It’s your card

Maybe it’s posted somewhere you can authorize someone . But if YOU have been asked to pick it up …….

My mp sent in my PR pick up notice and a dentist’s note to IRCC to be sent to the visa office, here is what they replied after the escalation:

“ Thank you for your email inquiry. We have reviewed your request and want to inform you that we have added the additional documents to the file and the application has been brought forward for review by an Officer in the coming weeks. It is currently in the queue for processing. ”

Does this mean they are going to review the application after nine months ?

Not sure how a dentist appointment note will change anything.

I know, but taking 9 months for a PRTD application isn’t reason enough for them to start reviewing them?
The MP said the majority of PRTD applications only in Ankara office have this problem.
I applied online from Iran and my file was sent to this office. Do you withdrawing this and sending a paper application to another office like in Abudhabi is a good idea ?
I have to be in Canada before December
