i am the principal applicant, so my husband must get a picture of me with our kid or a picture of him with the kid? thanks a lot!
One of the things that is used to judge a genuine "marriage-like" relationship is: "What was the attitude and conduct of the parties concerning children?" So a picture that shows your attitudes towards children and how you conduct yourself with children might be useful. They want to know if you care for his kids and he cares for your kids and both of you care for the kids you have together.

So, what I would try to do is to take at least one picture of you with the kid and one of him. It would be better if you were doing something at not just posing for the camera. In my opinion, this would be a good kind of picture to have. Simply having a kid doesn't mean much to them, but what you think about having a kid does.

I hope this means that both parties should be on the same page.. because my husband and I both very much NEVER want to have children :)

I am sending 60 pictures. I've put them into a Word document with tables, on the left there are captions and on the right is a picture. It shows a narrative of our relationship with photos.

It certainly does. If one of you really wants kids and the other one doesn't, that really doesn't look like a long-lasting relationship. In fact, it looks bogus to immigration officers.

for those who submitted hard copy pics, did you just write the dates on the back with a pen? did you organize them in an album or something of that sort? or did you just put them in an envelope? does one HAVE to include the dates on them or do you guys think it won't make a difference? i ask this b/c my hubby and i didn't date long at all before getting hitched so i'm afraid it might hurt my chances (though the relationship is legit and we have other factors working in our favour)

also, i had originally wanted to include pics of us with our baby but my hubby will not be able to be there for her birth :( . do you guys think i should wait until he meets the baby and THEN apply with pictures? we DO have pics already taken with him holding my belly and such, so not sure if that'll be good enough

thanks in advace to anyone who can offer up advice

Concrete, i think it's imperative to send pics wih your apps. those ones with him holding your belly should stand for something, clearly it has meaning for the 2 of u. don't wait until the child is born before u send pics.

I sent in over 500 pics (i looooove the camera) and that's a span of a 4yr long distance relationship. Immg does NOT want you to put the pics in an album or clear page cover. I simply put them in envelopes and wrote on the outside of the envelope, my husbands name, DOB, and the year the pics were taken, (ie. 2007 pics, 2008 pics) in that way they can't sit there and try to figure out which month or when the pics were taken, so in your case, that would be beneficial.

Also, my hubby had his interview last week and they said we sent it too many pics (the IO was laughing) he returned it all to us including the new 120 showing ongoing relationship. I personally think u can never send enough, they want to see proof, give it to them!!! Hope this helps.

I sent approx. 60 photos and i have put the dates when the pics were taken and the names of people appearing in the pics behind each photo. the 60 photos include the photos of the wedding.
i put the photos in two separate envelopes , one named "relationship" and the other "wedding"
Hope this will help you

you don't need to send 500 pictures. my partner and I have been together 8 years, and are sending about 50 pictures.

yes, you should date the pictures and describe what is happening in them (i.e. Picture taken of SPONSOR and APPLICANT while on vacation at LOCATION- DATE).

Do not put the pictures in an album - just put the loose pictures in an envelope. If they are digital pictures you can insert them into a word document and add the captions that way.

I will be sending the original pictures. They are about 30 and 25 of them were from the ceremony. I just put the date they were taken, people in it and also my name and DOB. I think it will be enough. We also had the CD of the ceremony but I saw a warning on the guideline to not send the CD or binded pictures. So I just put them in an envelope and wrote a description on it.

As long as you have a genuine marriage that you can prove with also some other things (not only pictures) I dont think they will count how many you sent.
