Proof of fund help!

Hello,

I have been offered scholarship to cover my living and tuition fees. University doesnt ask for the advance fees to be paid... However for application from India, they ask for fees payment recipt and proof of fund for living expense.

Now,
1) for my case where every thing is covered under scholarship, Can I attach the scholarship letter as proof of fund? I see no point in geting GIC certificate... I can show bank balance of around 10,000$ though... is it sufficient?

2) does PF and PPF balance of parents considered as proof of fund? (India)

The more documents you attach to your Proof of Means of Financial Support, the best.
Anything related to financial support must be together on this proof document.

I did my visa request a while ago - still waiting response - and I attached:

- bank drafts prior to 6 months
- payroll from employee company
- tax income documents for both bank and employee company
- also a letter from my father - attaching his ID - stating that he would pay or cover anything if needed

I believe that it's a good thing for both means: financial support and ties to your home country...

Also you MUST attach your scholarship document as it is the base of your financial support, right?

And, I don't see any problem on attaching your parents PF and PPF balance (as I don't know what that is since I'm not Indian... lol)...
But as said, the more documents you attach, the best.

yeah... preety much scholarship is the base...

but not sure VO considers this as proof or not ( because they might think scholarship has various conditions, so scholarship is not money in hand where as balance is solid proof)

And if PF and PPF of parents are considered then its absolutely not problem... the amount in PF and PPF is way more than sufficient. (it is kind of savings u make with govt that you get back only when you retire or change the job)

so still trying make to sure if any body applied with this as proof of fund?

Just to be safe I would present my bank statement first as primary source of income. That way scholarship is just an addition. You want to show proof that you can take care of yourself with or without scholarship first.

Actually I did something close to that.
But I've added a letter written and signed by my father stating that he will help if anything is needed.
I've also added his ID.

Yes attach your scholarship letter. You don't have to issue a GIC certificate and pay tuition. My case was similar to yours. I applied my visa with proof of fund. NO GIC and NO Tuition fees paid.

one more thing... is it okay to attach print out of the acceptance letter and scholarship letter they had emailed me??

or is it mandatory to attach original hard copy?

because many people on this forum havent received the letter in post even after months...

I attached my emailed copy... which was actually a scan from the original one, signed and stamped by College.
