Me and my husband are applying for the spouse visa, and were planning to show that were both living at the same address in Canada. Since he's only on temporary status right now all we have with his name and this address is a letter from the UK government saying that he's over paid taxes and hes getting money back. The letter was sent to this address after he came here and has the date on it. Can we use this letter even if its from the UK government sent to our address in Canada?

Any mail sent to your husband to the address you share is proof. Get him visitors insurance and that’s proof too if you use the same address. If you have a bank account add him to it and now its proof since it’s a joint account. If you live in Ontario he can get a Ontario photo card if he doesn’t drive or exchange his drivers license for a Canadian one IIRC.
You can do all that while you’re a visitor.
Luckily we opened a joint account here years ago, we also luckily got travel insurance when he came this time! We'll look into that and include the letter we already had. Thanks for the advice!
