Today my hubby got a mail for remedial
I hope once the medical is done I'll receive good news

Finally cic reduced the processing time to 15 months


Do they call or mail to ask for passport?

Hey everyone anyone from nov 2015 applicants... so basically I just want to know can background check take 3 or 4 months to complete cuz ours went to process in august as for link application status cuz thats when the new system came into effect so really I dont noe the exact month that they started his bck check but then since its like 3 months I am having a feeling he might be waiting in queue for interview anyone who experienced similar situation please let me know.. has anyone here who was scheduled for interview did ur link application under interview showed a differ. Status or is still says interview not needed... I also ordered gcms notes will be getting them end of nov. Hopefully by then... his medical and pc has expired as well but no request for remedical

Hi I would like to share few updates of my husband's friends spouse status.

Three people who applied in 2016 got PPR within 7 months
One person who applied in july 2015 got PPR last week

Wow even I know someone got in 9 months and the girl in srilanka and he sponsored from canada.. like I really dont understand the reason.. is the ppl that got visa are all females?? Cuz if so thats not right how they treat men and women differently and not fair for ppl who r waiting for so long almost 2 yrs... i really don't get how the immigration system works

Don't say like that..I'm also woman waiting from June 2015!!! Stressed out badly!!

I am August 2015 Applicant. Medical was expired in June 2016 and VO requested the re-medical after 4 months.

Hey I also applied nov 2015 and my hubby took medical sept 9 2015 and ot expired may I know when ur hubby did his medical and after how long they requested remedical.. and if you know when his bck check started thanks

My husband just received a remedical request from CIC. The letter they sent is different from the one we received the last time his medical expired so we are wondering if it means anything ..

Last year when they requested it the email read "the results of initial medical examinations for yourself is expired. In order to provide your application with an updated validity we require following additional medical examinations for yourself"

This time it says "these medical instructions are being issued since your application has been processed to the stage where medical examination results are required."

Can anyone who rec'd a remedical request recently share what their request said? I just wanna know if CIC changed the wording on the standard request or if this means that my husbands application process is nearing the end.

Our remedical request said the same as yours, we received in October.
