Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

Hey I also applied nov 2015 and my hubby took medical sept 9 2015 and ot expired may I know when ur hubby did his medical and after how long they requested remedical.. and if you know when his bck check started thanks

Hi everyone,

My husband just received a remedical request from CIC. The letter they sent is different from the one we received the last time his medical expired so we are wondering if it means anything ..

Last year when they requested it the email read "the results of initial medical examinations for yourself is expired. In order to provide your application with an updated validity we require following additional medical examinations for yourself"

This time it says "these medical instructions are being issued since your application has been processed to the stage where medical examination results are required."

Can anyone who rec'd a remedical request recently share what their request said? I just wanna know if CIC changed the wording on the standard request or if this means that my husbands application process is nearing the end.

Our remedical request said the same as yours, we received in October.

today i got an email from colombo VO for an interview

the email summary is as follows

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order to assess your compliance with the eligibility and admissibility requirements for immigration to Canada, an appointment has been arranged for you to be interviewed at this office on:xxxx

Please be present at the High Commission half an hour before the interview time to allow security screenings. No electronic items are allowed inside the building and we have no parking facility. Please present this letter to the receptionist / security officer on your arrival at our office.

Your accompanying family members (spouse or common-law partner and dependent children over 18 years of age), should attend this interview as well. If any of them do not appear with you, the interviewing officer will determine if it is necessary for them to appear for interview at a later date.

Please bring your passport(s) and any other documents you wish to submit / show in support of your application. Do not send the documents to this office prior to your interview. Bring them with you.

All documents you bring to your interview must be translated into English or French. You must have the entire document translated, not just portions of it. The translation must be done by a professional translator who is not related to you. The translation must not be done by your lawyer, immigration consultant, or any other person you have retained to represent you or advise you concerning this application, nor can they be translated by an employee of that person. Provide proof of the translator’s accreditation.

have anyone got a similar email and attended the interview and can you share what questions they asked. I already had a interview in 2012 and got through but in 2013 my application was rejected for misrepresentation of not mentioning a uk tourist visa rejection.

Our email wasn't as long as yours, it only asked to bring the passport and 2 photos according to the new specifications.
And it had the disclaimer of not giving further dates for failure to attened and the IRPA Subsection (15).1
