Thanks . I've already mentioned linking our app to see the status is useless. I don't think it's up to date updates. For me they said my husband is in the Q for an interview and they are doing the background check (that's what the Canadian immigration told MP office) but after I linked my app it states no interview required, background not started. OMG.... never been sooo confused in my life!!!! I will order the GCMS in two weeks and see what happens. I am waiting two more weeks to apply because on the last one I ordered it had some due dates which is ending on August 17th (not sure what the due date is for) so going to apply after August 17th and see if there are any changes and any progress. BTW Vijay, aren't you supposed to be enjoying your time with your wife now instead of worrying about your apps. You can worry about it after she leaves and join us here

Hi guys I just have a question.. So like my husband did his medical on sept 9, 2015. 2 days before I returned to canada.. Cuz lawyer suggested that the medical is done before hand. So the medical place gave a slip which I attacted with my package and all documents when my application was sent out to process in mississauga. So I am just wondering if anyone did it this way also. since my hus. Did his medical on sept 9.. Does it mean it will expire exactly after an year or it goes by when the vo in colombo got our file from canada and the medical starts from that date on?

My spouse in Colombo needs to submit national identity card along with other docs. The request came today from Colombo visa office. The card is in Sinhalese. Does it need translation to English?

I read some of you have submitted a copy of the NIC card. Did you translate it? If so, pl give details on how and where.

BTW they also asked for: schedule A Since 18 yrs, alteration pages from passport, my (sponsor) t4, 2015 tax assessment, employment letter (strange as SA is already done)

Hi you need to translate the NIC into English and get an affidavit of translation. I did the same.

Also was your application received at CIC Mississauga on Jan 28? or in SL VO on Jan 28?

On friday when logged in..it stated beside 'review of medical results- "passed ". Today after work...about 30 min ago I logged in and saw beside " review of medical results " that "not needed at this time". I'm confused...because it's weekend and there is a change on the status. What does it mean? Why is there a change? Is it good or bad? I'm worried that his medical might be expired and they may request for another medical and drag his application longer. If any of you have any info.....please feel free to share.

When did he take his medical.. Try login tomorrow and see what it says.. How about under backgroud check is needed what does it say there.. And were you requested additional documents from the VO in colombo.. Well like I am hearing if there is no other concern with your application they will provide visa like one week before the medical expires .. Not really sure though we all waiting for so long but Nothin is really happening

sorry for the confusion... Please fill section A and C alone.

Section (A)
1 - applicant name and sign it

Section(c)

3 - sponsor's details( name and email id)
4 - mark email to recieve by email

Leave others blank.

This is how i used to fill consent form. Ordered 3 times and gonna order next one tomorrow

So guys, I've sent an email to the Colombo visa office for a status update and I got a reply today. This is their response: "Dear Madam,

Please note that the file is in queue for an interview with an officer, as such you will be notified of the date and time accordingly." I guess the good news here is that I got a reply from the Colombo visa office within 2 business/working days.
