Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

So guys, I've sent an email to the Colombo visa office for a status update and I got a reply today. This is their response: "Dear Madam,

Please note that the file is in queue for an interview with an officer, as such you will be notified of the date and time accordingly." I guess the good news here is that I got a reply from the Colombo visa office within 2 business/working days.

Well, 14 months will be over in 2 more weeks so I guess according to their current processing time which is 14 months, it's still within the processing time. I guess they decided to reply to my email its cuz either I kind of begged them to give me an update or 14 months will be over soon. My husband has been in queue for an interview for almost 6 months and some people got their visa within 6 months. What to do... When it comes to immigration alot have to do with our luck .

Hey wow they replied within 2 days thatz good. So soon he will be called for an interview. So one of. My friend said she met couple of ppl who came from srilanka in sponsor and most of them got their visa 1 week before medical expire so that just means they keep it till the last and give visa to bunch of ppl at the same time..

Well yes its true for some people and not true for others. No one can understand their procedure/steps. We just have to go with the flow.

Hey yeah well in my case I am just gonna wait till 3 more weeks and then either email them or request for gcms notes cuz I really want to know the status of our application as his medical will expires on sept 9..

yes they asked for reassessment 2 weeks ago . i did it at asiri hospital

Ohh well since they ask for remedial there is some sign of process so dont worry.. Mine says background in process frm the link account and his medical expires on sept 9th

They didn't ask me for re-medical!! I pray that they won't ask! Oh so if it expires on Sept, you might get your visa before that! Keep praying!
