Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

Ohh well since they ask for remedial there is some sign of process so dont worry.. Mine says background in process frm the link account and his medical expires on sept 9th

Your sponsor in canada.. Did u guys try anything else.. Like go see the mp and ask abt the status

No.. didn't try anything as we didn't pass the given processing time of 14 months!! My hubby's friend sponsored his wife and she got her visa within 8 months! (She applied before me, and got her visa in April/March )

So I applied in nov. 2015 frm canada file transferred feb 2016.. Requested document feb 2016.. And after that nothing heard

doc request was in feb? and no update so far? it's almost 6 months now eh? we were requested for some additional docs on 4th of july, and no updates after that staying separated from my hubby is so hard lets pray to get the visa soon..

Yup it is very hard emotionally and mentally so stressful.. I am gonna wait maybe like 2 weeks and either email them or request for gcms notes.. Cuz how long they going to do background check

Me too! So much stressed! And now I really want my visa and want this hard time to end soon! that's good, try to send them an e-mail, because if your medical expires, then you'll have to do re-medical!! So try to do something before that! Hope you get visa soon dear.. Fingers crossed for everyone

Hi .. I'm niya . My husband has applied for spouse sponsorship sponsorship on August in canada ..but they (CIC)started processing only on December. . After assessment of sponsor they have forwarded to srilanka on March .and they started processing on March 11 .. my question is that how long will I wait for visa .. and Im not in srilanka .I'm in india . But they sent it to srilanka it was selected based on my native place ..and my 2nd question is that should I go to srilanka for visa ?can I apply for visa from india .. and my medical certificate has been expired. Should I take another certificate. ? I'm totally depressed can anybody knows when will they contact me? Please help me

R u in tourist visa or refugee? u have to be available to go to Sl anytime bcz they might call u for an interview!
at the moment im in india too and they called me to submit additional docs so I went to sl and submited those documents. now i came back to india

I have submitted on july/2015 ! i was studying in uk that time so when i moved back to sl (april) they asked me to give the new address and schedule A form in person.

Well ..what's ur application status .. do u know how long will it take for final decision? It's been 8 months since it was started processing ..I checked their website it shows that processing time is 13 months for srilanka so have to I wait for until 13 months?
