I'm November 2015 applicant
Did anyone know currently which month files are being looked by the immigration office

So far from the colombo office no visas have been reported on this forum. Several had interview dates scheduled in the coming days. Currently the Colombo processing time is 16 months, since yours has been only 11 months, yours should be not far along.

how do we send additional relationship proofs to Colombo visa office ?
when the time we applied we send only our engagement photos .(actually we didn't planed to have a wedding so we applied right after our engagement in may 2015)

in 2016 may we had our wedding and home coming .i think its good to send the proofs of our wedding .

so how do we send those pics and other supporting documents to visa office in Colombo?
please help guys

My husband was requested for an interview this month. We are September applicant.

Hi guys,

I desperately need your help as we are very concerned. I applied to sponsor my wife in April 2016. Received additional doc request in mid Aug 2016, supplied them within 2 weeks in Sept 2016. Now today her status changed to decision made, and it says a letter has been mailed out to her on Oct.31, 2016. Please consider mail delays before contacting us. I'm so concerned as I saw, they usually request passport before decision made. Can this letter be for PPR, if so why did they already change her status to decision made under her UcI permanent residence before issuing her visa?? Anyone with experience please help as we are totally lost. Does it mean negative decision/rejection letter? The only reason I can think of right now is maybe if they havent received additonal docs by mail, but we mailed within a 1.5 weeks of request. My wife hasnt received this letter yet, and the wait is killing me.

Did your friend's status change to decision made under his wife's permananent residence yet. They mailed my wife a letter of decision on Oct.31, 2016 but she hasn't received it yet. Unfortunatley, we didnt provide her email address on her application. So totally confusing.

When they asked for the additional docs, did they give you a time frame to submit by? and did you submit it within that time frame? Also, when you sent the additional docs did you send them via a traceable method (i,.e DHL, FedEX..etc)? This probably mean that they didn't get the documents they asked for. In Sri lanka, it takes 7 days to deliver a letter in Colombo, So you should receive the letter next week sometime.

You can update your contact information on CIC, check my previous post for web form; this way you will get the email and don't have to wait for the letter in the mail.

I am still thinking this on the positive side:

1 - you applied this year, they still haven't passed the applications from june 2015 (according to the members on this thread/forum)
2 - this could be request for further documents. I am not sure what you have sent with your application initially. Have you sent the Police Check Certificate? Right of Permanent Residence Fees?....etc.


I understand it can be frustrating to read through these posts and draw conclusions. As long as you are genuine and you have been truthful don't worry about it. Hang in there.

Thaanks for those comforting words, and to answer your questions:

1. Ecas shows decision made on both sponsor and sponsored side using both application number and my spouse's uci number, no more "in progress" which is replaced with "decision made." On her uci when i click on the "decision made" link it mentions "We sent you a letter on October 31, 2016. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

2. We supplied medicals, police clearance, permanent residence fee receipts, proofs of wedding costs, plane tickets, tax forms, employment letter, etc. Even though pretty much everything was supplied with the initial application, they still requested my 2015 T4, employment letter and her passport alteration pages again in aug 2016. Which we mailed within 1.5 weeks.

We should have provided my wife's email address initially so that we would've gotten this lettsr by email instead of snail mail.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If anybody recently got a PPR request, how long did it take you guys "in process" status to change to "decision made"?

Don't be worried What if the letter will ask her to come in to just get her passport stuff done?? Be Positive.... and Everything will be okay!

Is it good or bad

I heard from one of my friend that they will request for remedial only when close to decision is to be made

Is that true?
Did anyone experienced that?
