Hey KiPriyan, from what I have been reading from the people who have been called for an interview here, it seems they call someone for an interview when they need to clarify doubts about the info we provided on our application. They usually ask to bring passport along with other doucments to verify your travel history and compare with what u provided in ur application and to confirm if our spoused have ever been denied entry to any other countries. Refer to the below link, they have alot of info about ppls intetview expereinces: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/spousal-sponsorship-interview-questionaires-experience-preparations-t220698.1050.htmlKiPriyan said:Yeah. Not sure if we should be happy they asked us to bring passport. Or be nervous bc they r asking documents pertaining to our application. It's so general I'm not sure where to start.
I just want to fly down to be with my husband for his interview date.

Not a Nov/Dec applicant, but an April 2016 applicant here. App received by CIC at the end of April 2016, additional docs requested mid August, submitted those within a week of request. Waiting patiently to hear back now... hope we all get the good news soon.luci1209 said:Hi any November or December applicant here has anyone heard anything from colombo visa office recently

Hey AIIA my linking appication is same as urs except for the review of medical result: it says not needed at this time it used to be passed but his medical expired sept 14 and the next day when I logged in to link account it changed to not needed at this time... but everything else is same as urs.. I applied nov 2015AIIA said:Hi all, Congratulations to all those that got an interview! Bet its nice have something to look forward to rather than blindly waiting ....
Hi dnyfyn, from what I know, if your medical expires and they ask you to do a re-medical that doesn't always mean you're application will get approved within a specific amount of time. I believe they just keep valid medicals on file so that when they make a decision they don't have to wait for you to do a medical exam. My husband did his medical for the second time last year and that is about to expire again and we still have not heard anything from the VO. Hope you get you PPR soon!
Would anyone mind sharing what it says under each category of your application/profile status online? I'd like to compare to see where our app stands in the process. I think our app is taking an unusually long time, it would be much appreciated!.. I've pasted ours below.
Application/profile status: Open
Review of eligibility: Review in Progress
Review of medical resultassed
Review of submitted documents: blank
Scheduling an interview: Not needed at this time
A background check is needed: In Progress
Final decision: Not Started
Thanks Rainbow21, guess your just waiting for them to request remedial then. And have they asked you to submit any additional documents..have you heard from them at all since your app went to Sri Lanka?Rainbow21 said:Hey AIIA my linking appication is same as urs except for the review of medical result: it says not needed at this time it used to be passed but his medical expired sept 14 and the next day when I logged in to link account it changed to not needed at this time... but everything else is same as urs..
