Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

they received my application feb 1st, started processing it in march 8th and transferred to colombo visa office march 17th.

I was gone for one month in september but didnt stay in srilanka(me and my husband went to singapore and thailand). This year in May, we went to malaysia for 2 weeks.

How complicated or time-consuming is the process for applying for visa to the countries you guys visited (your husband is Sri-Lankan citizen right?)?
Do you know of any other countries that Sri Lanka citizens could also obtain a visa to without a bundle of paperwork?

If you have good travel history, getting a visa to any asian countries shoudn't be a problem. Singapore and Maldives are visa free for Sri lankan citizens. Sri lankans can go to few countries without visa ( u can google those countries). You can get visa to Thailand and Malaysia within few days if you provide all the required documents. They might call you for an interview if they need any clarification or will issue the visa without intetview. I think Canada is the hardest country in the world to get a tourist visa.

Any update guys? I am visiting the ndvo forum atleast 3 or 4 ppl receive ppr everyday.. ever since I started in this forum no one got the ppr from colombo vo like isnt it weird??? We proally shd do something as a group maybe like write a big message to the liberal gov. I am so fed up and dont undertstand whats happening..

yes how many times maybe 4 times inquiry and personal meeting whith mp our situation I am so ...... sad

Oh what is the mp saying.. Did ur background check already start or not.. And it has been 14 months already or not.. Maybe I suggest you go see a differ mp or try emailing the vo office colombo..

To be honest with you I personally think they ask for additional documents just to delay the process otherwise they woudn't ask people to submit documents which were already submitted to them. They ask majority of the men to sumbit their national id if that piece of document is sooo important to them why not add that to their checklist so people will submit it with their initial sponsor documents ???

they only give the visa 60000 ather application they put hold (they play any recants )so 2015 already done because they receive 160000 application this year they gonna add 10000 from 2015 and next year 10000 like this

thanks rainbow 14 month already done but they change processing time 15 month now and also mp say he cant do anything for me when they call u until wait my security still in process almost 5 month what can do any more did u see new delhi visa office very fast

Hi okay I also did my mp inquiry they were told my security check is in process.. So seems like I have to wait for so long like you r saying.. Did ur medical expire and required to do a new one??
