Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

We haven't heard back anything from vfs yet. Why they taking this long just to give back the documents.. Starting to worry..

So my husband got a call from VO yesterday. The officer asked him whether he travelled after submitting his PR application, and whether he renewed his passport. He answered in the negative. They requested that he hold off on any travelling and not to renew his passport until he gets his visa. The officer said if he had travelled, then the file will need to undergo further processing. Lastly, the officer advised him that his file is now closed and said he will get PPR within the next two weeks!!!!!!!!

My husband is a frequent traveller, so his travel history was long and the pages in his passport were almost full. So I'm assuming this is the reason that it took longer than we anticipated. I am just glad this process is almost over.

My application was received on April 13th. on the website it says, "decision made" for the sponsorship application status. Now the package is sent to Sri Lanka (Visa Office). They have contacted my wife to verify some information, like her DOB, when we got married etc. They have also requested from her copies of the PP's 'alteration observations' page. Which she is sending today.

Also we submitted her medical with the application, so the cic website also read "Medical Received"

Anybody else had to go through this? and Are we progressing well?
