THIS IS THE LETTER HE RECEIVED:


This refers to your application for admission to Canada. An officer has determined your application is ready for final decision. In order for us to continue processing your application, please submit the following to the Canadian Visa Application Centre in Colombo, Sri Lanka:

 A valid original passport or travel document for the principal applicant and each accompanying family member in the application; see the Document Checklist for the class of application you have made for details of which documents are acceptable (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/index.asp)

 Two (2) immigration photos of the principal applicant and each accompanying family member in the application; see the Photo Specifications in the Application Guide for your class of application (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/index.asp)

Failure to submit these within 30 days of the date of this letter could result in the refusal of your application.

Sending your passports to the visa office in Colombo, Sri Lanka:

Applicants within Sri Lanka submitting passports to the High Commission of Canada in Colombo are to use the services of the Canadian Visa Application centre to expedite submission. To submit your passport along with any accompanying documents, please contact the Canadian Visa Application centre: http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/SriLanka/

Applicants outside Sri Lanka should refer to the website of the High Commission of Canada in Sri Lanka for information on how to submit their passports: www.srilanka.gc.ca

Normally its take 60days ave. So you will get your first AOR any time soon. Be happy

not yet. he submitted the passport already.

Mayflower this is how it shows. For me: but they will update you on e-mail about all the steps but they change the online file later.

We received your application for permanent residence on December 10, 2014.
We started processing your application on May 26, 2015.
Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

So I emailed the office few days ago and today I received a response from them and this is what it said:

"Please be informed that this application is presently ongoing preliminary background checks. Background checks on applications, differs from case to case. Once background checks are completed, we will contact your spouse."

So I guess we will be waiting for a long time; because from what I have read on this forum, the background checks can take a long time. This is such a tiring process.

You never know Mayflower it can be faster just keep your heads up. Think positive. I also thought mine will be slow but it came fast because believed in it. It will be faster just believe in it.
