Processing time for spousal visa - Sri Lanka

my status changed to IN PROCESS today . its says"We started processing your application on October 30, 2013."
So. I decided to wait patiently.....

That's good news, so now goes the patient game. You should get updates fast if thats the case.

they have been changed my status IN PROCESS. But still they no mention abt my medical. Im worried abt it. Is it a issue?

Don't worry about medical, As far as I have heard even for those who have done medical and it is past 6 months, they have to do it again. So don't stress at this point. Again be patient. All the best.

My status was changed to in process on October 28, 2013. Is my husband also going to get passport request? He already had passport renewal request. ???

It depends I think.. It hard to say.. Because every case is different and unique..

Does any body know what are the photo requirements along with the passport request. What size of pic do we need. They require two photos. And where do we hv to submit the passport.

Did you email them or anything? And when did your status changed to "in-process"? I have been following your threads and I didn't see that you mention about status changing to "in-process", so does it mean that VO asked PPR without changing to "in-process".

I applied only 1-2 weeks later than you. But no word from them it just says "application received/medical received".

My E cas still says application recived and medical has been recived. U will hear a good news with couple of weeks.....god bless....e cas didn't help me at all

They did not ask for any additional documents to me. So hoping that I have submitted everything that they need. Also, do you mind if I ask if your wedding was civil or traditional? Mine is actually civil but I had a very big function with > 300 guests

Thank you.....They request some additional info on September 27. And we sent them October 15. And I sent send a email after to make sure if they recive my documents or not.. And then they reply by saying for me as the sponsor to pay the permanent residence fee..... And I email them with the copy of the receipt for they permanent residence. Coz I already paid that. I sent that email on Thursday 31 st October. .... Yesterday they sent my lawyer by saying to submit the passport along with 2 photos.... .

I had a westernized beach wedding (civil) with 108 guests... I didn't had any religious parts,,..all about enjoying the time....... Hope this helps.... 8)
