I have been googling for a while now and i just cant find what i need, i have absolutely no clue where to continue. In the Netherlands the health insurance covers everything and they remind you when the next appointment is. Do they want me to never get checked and then deliver the baby when its time and call it a canadian? I disgusted by all this.
Do you really expect Canada to pay all the health bills of everyone that comes here as a visitor??? This is why people get their own private health insurance when they travel to other countries.
If you think it's expensive now, you should also know that if there are any emergencies that cause you to spend time in a hospital you are looking at a minimum of several thousand dollars. And if you have your baby in a hospital with no provincial healthcare, you need to budget from $3K - $10K for the cost.

If you really can't afford to go through the pregnancy and have baby in Canada, then you would need to return home to Netherlands to have your baby. Note that even if you get married, you still are not covered for provincial health care in Quebec.

As I said in my first post here, search for midwives in your area and contact them to see if there are any available for you, as their services are free.

Just to add - I would recommend that you forget about comparing your experiences in the Netherlands with Canada since this comparison is illogical. The reason why you have access to free health care in the Netherlands is because you are a citizen or resident of that country. If you were a visitor to the Netherlands (like you are a visitor in Canada) you would not be covered by the health care system and would be forced to pay for everything out of your own pocket. Visitors to the Netherlands have to purchase insurance if they want to avoid paying for health care costs themselves. It's no different in Canada.
Ofcourse this is true thanka for the reminder, im gonna call the midwife office again next week!

I don't know if these will be any help:
Canadian Association of Midwives

Fax: 514-738-0370

I called them but they said they only help people who have health care.
I dont have that, as soon as my spousal sponsorship is accepted, what kind of health care can i get?

Who don't allow you to travel? Is it your spouse?

I can't believe a 12 weeks pregnant woman cannot travel!

Their services are not free. I dont know who gave you that information.
So if i get married and apply for sponsorship and that gets accepted i can still not get healthcare? Please explain.
I did contact every possible number i could, ive been on it. And i even contacted La Masion Blue who are supposed to be free for women in situations like me, but unfortunately they are full and cannot take any more people untill august.

If i cannot get healthcare when i am sponsored by my husband then i have no choice but to leave and get help in Holland.

Midwives are free here in Ontario even to those with no healthcare. I assumed midwives were the same across Canada, but I guess that is not so for Quebec at least.

Even if you apply for sponsorship Inland, you can't get healthcare until you get at least your OWP which will most likely take 4-5 months after applying. And even then I'm not sure the specific rules Quebec RAMQ follows surrounding giving healthcare to people with PR apps in progress or that have OWP. Did you try calling RAMQ and asking them under what conditions you could get healthcare for pregnancy?

Your best bet is probably to return to Holland. As I said, you can't expect that Quebec will simply pay for all the health expenses of visitors here. The only province in Canada i'm aware of that visitors can be added to their spouses's healthcare even with no PR app in progress, is Alberta.

Im not in Ontario. Im in Laval. Canadian Healthcare is free for Canadians.
I shall definitely call RAMQ and any other healthcare service and ask them because it is just mathematically impossible for a sponsored person (sponsorship in quebec lasts 3 years) NOT to be able to get healthcare. It would just not make sense!

No, it's not. Those of us in BC (including Canadians) are paying premiums for Canadian healthcare.

I think BC is the last province that still has premiums but even where there aren't any, it's still not free. The other provinces just pay for it with tax money instead of premiums.

No what i'm saying is midwives are free in Ontario (and other provinces) even to visitors with no healthcare. I didn't realize they were only available in Quebec if you had RAMQ.

One suggestion you could try, is since you are so close to the Ontario border call up the closest midwives in Ontario and see if they would take you as a client. Not sure how this would be logistically though.

3 years is the financial commitment of Canadian to the PR they sponsored. It has absolutely nothing to do with getting healthcare.

As I said, you are eligible for RAMQ immediately after becoming a PR with an outland app, or sometime during processing with an inland app.
