Hello, I have plans of shifting to Canada in December 2020. My delivery date is end April. I need to start with my husbands visit visa application. Can you please guide me as what should my first step be?
Your partner needs to apply like anyone else for a TRV. Read thru this forum. And just become aware that TRV are for temporary visits not long term , nor to circumvent the whole Outland sponsorship process . Become aware that just because your pregnant and want your partner to be with you , that is not a automatic issuance of the visa. If it’s vital they be with you , then I’d plan on staying in whatever country you’re in and give birth there . Your setting yourself up for disappointment if you come back to Canada to give birth thinking your partner will automatically get to visit and or stay . Let’s be crystal clear here .YOU are choosing to come back to Canada to give birth alone .Just as I’m sure you planned growing your family , then the optimum word is ALONE, and you should plan being alone here . If he gets the visa , great , but it’s not a given , as many have realized.

Hey, I wanted to know how was ur procedure? Did it work out? I am pregnant and shifting back to Canada in December. My delivery date is in end April 2020. What should my first step be? I really need guidance.
It doesn't matter where you are "shifting".
I believe the timeline for travelling in Dec with due day in April is for getting provincial health coverage for your delivery.
Unless you are settling in a provience without wait time, be prepare that there is a risk for pre-mature delivery. Also all the check-up close to delivery will likely not be covered and it may be hard to find doctor/clinic to fit you in. So you need to have the fund to cover all possible cost.

Plan to stay in that provience after your delivery, most have rules that you will settle in that provience at least for 6 months out of the year to use healthcare. (i.e. your move is re-settle, not just to give birth) Otherwise, you have to pay them back.

Also be prepared to stay alone since TRV is not garantee and even if he's approved, most likely he will be given a 6 months stay. After that, he will need to extend his stay and it's not garantee as well. So as above posted, be prepared for taking care of the baby alone.

Sympathy won't get her husband's TRV approved. It's better to prepare people for the worst so they know what to expect and not go around sugarcoating situations.

No you're wrong. You or the other one chosing to go further into the woman's business about her choosing to get pregnant and go it alone is rude and presumptuous.

I've seen many people answer this question with a simple. 'You can try but you'd most likely not get through during processing'. So tell me why you feel the need to go above and beyond discretion is beyond me. Enjoy your day

The way we replied with extra information about medical cost, situation that you may face is to help you to be prepared.
We tried to tell some the TRV may be refused. And some took it as it's likely to be approved and came back and asked for help because they were then faced with medical bills and staying in Canada alone with new born baby.

If you are ok with the possible situation, I think your plan is fine. We really do not know your background except the information that you gave us.
So may be you will have family or friends here and you may not be alone. Not all culture needs husband to be there when giving birth.

Hi, I have applied for study permit through SDS two days back. It may take minimum 1 month to get the approval. So what if I get married before leaving to canada and I want to take my spouse along with me? Do I have to resubmit a new application with updated passport details and all? please reply
